  1. I dont think you can get merle wheaton or greyhounds, so i expect their`s some collie in their too, Do you know the people your buying the dog from,??? do you know anything about the parents working abilities??? Mars...
  2. In the last line of your post, you`ve answerd your own Question.... I think that somthing that started off as a problem for the dog,has now got you wound up and the dog is picking up on your anger... perhaps try feeding the dog in the van, so that that is the only place it gets to eat... Mars..
  3. Just over a year ago i was looking for a 1st cross wheaton Greyhound, and got in touch with Moorman1, One trip down to check the dog out, then a second trip down to get her mated a few weeks later, roughly 1000 miles two round trips, Moorman1 came up with 3 other lads to buy the pups when they were ready, and from what i`ve heard from the lads, they reckon it was worth their journey, A fair few miles between us to get just what we wanted, if it`s what you want you`ll find a way.... Mars....
  4. F**k me them 2 fawns are spot on Do you own them Mars ? Thats the type of cross I want next the bull wheaton cross I love that smooth coated fawn in the center ! I do own the smooth coat in the center, and i bred the litter.... I though on looks alone prefer the rough coats,!!!!! my pup is quite slow to mature compared with others in the litter, who are doing "Quite Well" for young dogs from what people are telling me... Fast agile and game, which is exactly what i was hoping for when i bred the litter. Yis Mars
  5. Cleanspade, I never tire of seeing pics of that wheaton X of yours, he`s a belting looking dog... Yis Mars
  6. A bunch of Bull/Grey X Wheaton/Grey pups around 7 months old... From what i know of the 1st cross and the one 1/4 cross i know of their as game as any bull x, and as easy to train if you put the time and effort in... Yis Mars...
  7. Just to be on the safe side i`de keep records of any conversations betwen your self and the neighbour, then if questions are asked, then you will know dates, time, wittnesess, But as i understand it, in your own property your ok.... Mars...

  10. Two Brindle pups left, I cant understand why these pups hav`nt been snapped up, people talk all the time about breeding worker to worker, I can tell you that the sire and his dam have been tested to the Max on all that these types should work, and the dam to these pups is bred from his brothers dogs a man who i`ve Dug and lamped with for over 14 years, I think with correct entering, these pups should be more than able to tackle a serious nights lamping... Price reduced to £.... Mars...
  11. Pics would help the Sale, and a rough location... Mars...
  12. Heart of wales,.... On the Saturday myself and Mrs Mars did have a good day, we met some good friendly people, my Bull X won her class, we bought a new ferret, and got a good pic of the pup in the simulated coursing... I`me not Knocking what was a Good LITTLE SHOW What i`me saying is it was Over Advertised, a full page add in the in the countryman's weekly, all the hype on here, we were expecting something on a par with chatsworth or the midland... In reality we arrived just after 08-00hrs we pitched our tent in the top field gave the dogs a quick walk to empty out, and by 09-30hrs we`d
  13. very nice bitch Cheers Bud,....
  14. "Prey drive" {best obtained by breeding worker to worker} "Obedience" { A Big part of working a lurcher, sadly the dogs have to rely on their owners for that} Mars..
  15. Thanks for your comments MLB but i`me afraid my only contribution is to have bred the Sire, And having witnessed both parents and obviously my own bitch {Granny} work, I thought people should know about some decent lurcher pups going for a reasonable price... 16. Glad your happy with your pup Ferret_man, Hope he does well for you..... Mars....
  17. if you have a look at the events that are happining each day i think youll find that the ferret showing is today not yesterday im just about to leave should be a good day That is what we did, and in the countrymans weelky it says "Ferret Show & racing Both Days" On arrival on the saturday in the program it said obedience all day from 12-00hrs, when i spoke to the bloke who was supposed to be doing it at 13-00 he said, " i dont know whats happenig it was thrown on me at the last minute" I tride again to find out what was happening with the Obedience after the showing and again
  18. Myself and Mrs Mars traveled down from Stoke-On-Trent And i have to say the show was a Good Local Little Show....... We had a good day and their were some genuine nice people their,My Bull X won her class, Ran the pup in the simulated coursing £3..... we bought a new ferret, and i bought a good pic of the pup running... and although we`d paid to camp their we felt we could`nt spend another day looking round the 14 stalls, !!!!!!!! Also two of the main reasons we went their, ferret showing {Mrs Mars} And the Lurcher Obedience, did`nt happen.... " AS I SAID A GOOD LITLLE SHOW" Not at at al
  19. Grand Dam on the sires side to these pups, "My once in a lifetime dog" Yis Mars...
  20. Thanks for your comments, I know that both parents are decent workers, especiley the sire whom i`ve witnessed work on many occasion and he`s very commited on whatever he works..!!!!! Mars...
  21. im not knocking the breed but i dont think a dog that is half whippet and part greyhound the rest bull will do everything a bull x will do , not at all and would love for anyone to show me otherwise , its a cross ive been looking at for some time but i think the bull x can specialise at certain tasks where a dog with whippet in the mix will be a lot more suited at others ......... just my opinion but would love to see it I have to agree A Bigger Bull X will work Bigger Quarry in a more efficient way, but for Quarry that turns quick, then Bull whippet types do a very good job.. Mar
  22. Above Bull/Grey X Whippet. stands around 24" to the shoulder, he`s owned by a mate of mine, and i`ve seen him take everything you`d expect a whippet to take, and everything you`d expect a Bull X to take.. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...howtopic=114384 Yis Mars..
  23. Thanks for keeping in touch mate, It`s always great to hear about the pups especially when their coming on well. Always helps when their`s a decent dog man bringing them on.... No looking back now mate eh.... 8 Weeks old above.... 1 Year old Below.. Here`s hoping for a good season for all the pups. Mars..
