  1. Symptoms where the same as that, what I could find on the net anyway. Said this to the vet bit she said very unlikely as its caused by a tumor which usually occurs in ferts of 5 years and over, mine are 8 months?! And also with them both being ill at the same time would make it very unlikely. The surviving one seems to be doing ok now, so need to find her a new friend
  2. Went to the vets, poor girl had died when opened her box for the vet to see, The other Jill isn't great either, she's had antibiotics see if she makes the night :-(
  3. I have just got home from work and have gone out to feed the dogs and ferts and the ferts are not right! From there hutch to the run there is a section of pipe one of the ferrets was in there, tried calling her out an she was just wriggling couldn't seem to get out so pulled her put, her body is shaking like she's having a fit?! Her eyes are open but like she's blind?! Put her on the floor in the house an she just sort of tries to pull herself along like can't move her back end?! The other one isn't as bad but defo not right! Any info or help appreciated!!

  7. Has your boy been out with you before?? I wouldn't bother buying anything until he's been a couple of times incase it's not for him. I've just bought my lad a jack pike suit, jacket & trousers, stealth fabric waterproof etc it seemed to be the best available for my budget, granted the seeland stuff is better but I couldn't justify spending that much when it's only going to fit him for a limited time before he out grows it. I give £45 for the JP stuff

Hi all, I've got a couple of ferrets and want to give them some work, I have my own permissions where I shoot and work the lurchers but there is nothing on them rabbit wise, mixy has had its way! So looking to get out and give someone a hand on the bigger warrens or help someone who hasn't got ferrets. Relatively new to the ferreting game these are my first two, I have been in the past with friends. Im in the Wrexham Chester area, NE Wales. Don't mind travelling a bit Look forward to hearing off you!

  18. just a update guys....... knocked up a hutch yesterday, and filled it today! Had a look on preloved last night and there was 2 jills advertised not far from me free to good home so went and had a look today and had them , there sisters and around 5mths old
  19. thanks for the reply's gents phoned the rescue centre today and the jills i'd seen on the website have gone but was told they have around 30 ferrets there, various ages and sex's, all jills have been spayed so gonna call in one day this week and have a nosey. How much does it cost to get a jill spayed or a hob neutered? cost of a jill jab each time?? They are asking for a £30 "donation" for each ferret, I didn't think that was too bad considering some kits are advertised for £15, obviously I would prefer to buy some proven workers or from good stock but I havn't seen any about only k
  20. reason I ask is I'm looking to get a couple of jills to use this season & a animal rescue centre no to far from me has 2 jills, sisters, both been spayed around 18mths old, just what i'm after as long as they work ok? don't know there past so have to assume just pets. Maybe i'll give them a go
