    I have seen a few of his work and in my opinion they good honest workers,yes some are better than others and no doubt there are some failures but thats part of working terriers.Its obvious that they wont suit everyone but at the end of the day theres only one person that jp dogs have to please and thats jp

    I have never and will never sell a dog ,if i trust someone enough to let them keep a work a dog of mine it would be given to them.However i do think some workers are more valuable than others. imo a terrier might be a very good worker but if there is no history in its breeding then work is all it has to offer. a terrier that works to the same standard but has a genuine history and comes from a family or line of good honest workers that are bred purely for work has far more to offer,it is far more than something to dig to ,if you use your head, have the knollege or good advice and have some luc

    Nice one swag so when your looking back through the generations you have to see if there any faults that are common within that line as it would be twice as likely to show up in the offspring? If we're being pedantic it's actually many, many times more likely. If there are quality sires of a similar type available then brother to sister matings make no sense, too risky for limited potential reward. thanks hogdog ,but would that not mean that the good qualities within the line are more likely to show as well though?     just a quick question,does it effect a bitches performance if you work them while their in heat? I have a week off work and will be able to do a bit with the terriers but my three bitches have all come on, would it be wise to work them or not? What do you think?

    I had a bitch a few years back that was exactly the same i kept trying her till she was nearly 3 and she wouldnt change her ways,she was basically a jibber, she didnt want to find, the fact that your dog is willing at the end imo doesnt mean much alot of dogs will grow a pair when there is daylight and encourgaement close by. If i was you i wouldnt try the dog again untill you find a suitable earth,smaller the better,a two or three holer , in such a place it should find if it WANTS to, if it doesnt then questions have to be asked. at the end of the day you know the dog you should know if he is

    I dont usually give my opinion unless its asked for but i will in this case,it proves absolutley nothing about the dog for a start,it does however prove that their are far to many tossers in this game if there was a mesh between the dog and the fox i wonder how many of those dogs would have stayed with it for ten hours?
