  1. unlucky bud.. I brought this up with my mate not so long ago as he had his box in his pocket, slipped down a bank then it wouldnt work, tried to think of a way to maybe toughen them up but theres not a great deal you can do seeing as its the insides that come seem to damage from the shock... I guess when you can monopolize a market though theres no need to improve too much. on another note.. hows the dog?
  2. only the one does it and hes castrated ya sarcastic .. bleh i wont stoop low enough to start calling names theres actually a topic, maybe, a few pages back explaining behaviour like this from other ferrets
  3. Had to do the same yesterday mate.. I hate the hot weather as much as a ferret to be honest!
  4. As some of you saw I had a ferret handed into me the other week and noone seems to know where its from or who has ferrets round here. Well I still have it.. but it just seems so scared of the other ferrets STILL.. In the hutch there fine.. they dont fight, eat together, drink together sleep together.. but in the run.. as soon as my polecat walks up to it.. it panics and it all turns into a fight..it started off with just that one polecat but now its moved onto the sandy one, the kits stay out the way so not worried about that.. the only time it will go near the others in the run is when th

  6. I dont have a clue?? I might not be as clued up as most on here but thats why im on here.. to get tips of those people...And those people have gave me a "clue" as you put it.. Bit uncalled for if you ask me since I didnt have any dig at you at all.... At least you just shown me your not worth my time in explaining my experiences in more detail. Maybe my ferrets just do a better job at it?...
  7. How do you know, rabbit's shy off bolting if they here noise above ground, smell nets so why not see nets. Didnt even say they cant see them... just say using brightly coloured nets has never stopped me getting rabbits... ... however my ferrets are either dragging a rabbit out or on the arse of a rabbit ... .. i cant prove weather or not they see them... which is why i didnt mention them seeing the net.. funny enough ive never had a problem with making noise above ground either... again though.. thats probably thanks to my ferrets ..(i have a wingy terrier (as most terriers are when
  8. I like to use bright coloured ones because of the blatent answer.. there easier to see. Nothing else to it. I do have a fair few green ones but I try to use the others first.... never had a rabbit go "oh.. a net.. I should turn back and fight that ferret!" ... Because I speak rabbit see .

  10. Thanks.. ive sussed it now im up to my 8th row, taking a break after every row cos ive got baby room to sort out,,misses to help, stray ferret to stop being bullied ...decided to try with the real stuff for some odd reason lol.... how many rows do i need.. ive done 7 ... im thinking about another 4-5 will be pretty long.. also.. worried about how i finish.. last time i took a pic this is what i had(showing my dad my progress) anyways you are all a great help!

  12. Need some help, I get to the third row... and then a mesh from the second row pulls through and goes huge.. ive spent the past 40 minuts trying to figure out what to pull to get it back to the original size but i cant figure it out.. what did i do wrong?

  14. ive tried using Agouti but it confuses me so much .. that vid with the bright green stuff i always seem to twist something.. and another vid i cant gt my head around.. taking a break will go back to it once ive had some food ... kinda frustrating but i wont give up
  15. It came this morning... cant sus this yet
  16. Same as whats in Martins pic... always have rope with me if it fills up.. dogs mouth... leg them and rap them around the strap of my ferret box..... squash them in my net bag depending what farm im on i can leave them in certain areas and collect on the way back though, at the moment cos' my foots still messed up i just throw them under the pickup since im not walking away from it
  17. I've had a little trouble with a kit of mine... this is what i did. Vitamin paste from pets at home.. put some on the edge of the hutch.. they love it it really keeps them busy.. touch the ferret.. its head etc. then leave it.. do this a few times it will stop getting jumpy... once its stopped being jumpy put the paste on the back of your hand and make a tight fist.. let it lick it off and while its doing that pick it up, pull it into your chest so you can again, touch its head.. feet etc. as soon as it stops licking the paste put it down and wait a little while.... i did this for a week
