keeper phoned and asked if I could get a few "responsible " lads together to sort a very very large rookery out up in Northumberland , with it being either side of a country lane and adjoining a horsey type farm we could only use air rifles -I phoned 2 mates [rapid lads] and we arrived at 7.30 am and left at 5.00 pm most were " branchers" but a few adults were shot to add to the tally along with a few ferals the stoat was found in a gin trap inside an old barn 108 in total leaving both keeper and land owner pleased -ps some one wanted the birds for eating so I was happy with t
