  3. I was also told something on this site that when you shoot a bunny just leave it otherwise your position will be comprimised......i have not done this however when i get a permission with lots of rabbits i will try it.....others have alot more experiance than me thats just my 2 pence worth that i learnt from this site

  6. Now that's an interesting slip. Who else actually mentioned 'collie liam' here? That's how he was referred to in the past. And still not updated or completed your profile. How hard can it be to let us know a few simple details like how old you are, whereabouts in the world you're from, the rifle/s and scopes you own. What type of shooting you like. What's the problem? All you got to do is say hi I'm so and so from wherever and I shoot with a wotsit in .22/.177 and I'm X years old and I'd like to know more about.... Nobody knows everything son, I've been shooting God knows how many yea

  13. I find full moon ideal also.......dont need a lamp......shoot static as the bunnys can see you comming
  14. Cheers mate ......................do one squatting down also mate
  15. im playing effin rifle darts in da morning lol.....thanks steve and RR Could one of you do a lifesize rabbit, pigeon, squizzer and maggie targets with killzones marked out for practice......with circles for the killzones(ie head...chest)...now if you do summit like that you would get tonne's of dl's By lifesize for bug's make it size of 2-3lb bunny size which is about average
  16. Bug's are able to breed all year round, there is no 'Season' as such. If life essentials are in abundance they don't stop breeding. Only if the essentials are scarce will they not breed as rapidly Generally Bunnies are Crepsicular in nature. Best time to get them is an hour or so before and after sun up and sun down. But it can vary greatly from both time of year to the surroundings and number of natural predators Phantom Agreed Tony but with the winter we have had so far the chances of any young surviving are slim........this also as you know effects thier food source....i
  17. I see what you mean simon...however my TX was hitting 11.7 with 16gr would the lighter pellet take the velocity over the legal limit?.........i understand your point about velocity and trajectory and overall penetration.....however you say the diff is marginal...does that mean i might aswel stick to the 16gr and discount the lighter/faster pellets?
  18. Dogs stomachs have very strong enzimes that can deal with all but the foulest meat/bones.......afterall they have developed over thousands of years hunting and eating raw meat without any canned cr@p and bagged kibble......trust me when i say dogs develope alot faster/better on raw than processed cra@p
  19. Or very early in morning.....4-5 am......try them times.......i would do 12 hours one nite then 12 next day to get an idea of when they show thier killzones also with breeding season comming soon they will start comming out more often.....some doe's will already be breeding from now through to august so in next 2 months there will be an explosion depending on the weather
  20. rabbits are creatures of habit......they could be out at any time of the day....this all depends of predation during day/evening.........rabbits will go out and feed when there is less chance of being predated......if your permission is in a area of high fox/badger/owl pop they will more likely be out during the day and less during the night(makes sence really)just try diff times of day without rifle and spend few hours observing then head to farmer with data.......if he knows they do damage during day maybe he will let you go in then
  21. Thanks davy......but would they do enough damage traveling faster than the heavier pellet going slower?
  22. At the moment i am using jsb exact 16gr for hunting/plinking.....i want to know if the lighter pellets are much cop for hunting.........im talking about 10-11gr i know these pellets travel alot faster than the heavier type but im more concerned about the stopping of quarry power......yes the lighter ones travel fast but at 20-30 yds will the speed convert to power...by this i mean will they do damage traveling faster than a heavier pellet would traveling slower?? input please guys Edited cause of my effin spelling
  23. I would do as fry said......let the bunny get a good 10 feet from warren.......even though other bunnys dont really care as death for them is part of every day life.....the distance just stops injured bunnys running back to warren and dying inside and causeing disease. hehehehe bunny humping a dead one LMAO
