From BASC code of practice for shooting birds All birds are protected, and although there are seasons when you can legally shoot game, and some wildfowl, they are not suitable quarry for air rifles. However, as long as you are complying with firearms law, you can shoot certain pest bird species. These are covered by general licences which, in simple terms, mean you can shoot the birds listed, provided you have the landowner’s permission and provided you are doing it for one of the reasons allowed by the licence. These reasons include: to protect crops to protect game and wildlife
  2. As has been said you just carnt go shoot any bird you want......all pest speices of bird need a reason to shoot them ie to protect song bird pops,crop damage and lifestock and so on i think

Got loads of the fkers where i live........few years back you would rarley see a buzzard make a kill......now though they taking young rabbits at some rate......As for Osprey chick i doubt mutch will be done.....nature will take it's course and i also believe natural order will soon knock there numbers back
  6. Tried it once made a right bloody mess of it so i do it the old fasioned way now with a knife and my hands lol
  7. just with rifle i had 19 pigeons in 13 hours started off in fields then finnished at a roost......most rabbits was 8 in about 4 hours shooting

  13. No mate bloody expensive divorce put a stop to that...however trying to get a pro elite at a reasonable price is like trying to get blood out of a stone.......the ones i have seen are bloody expensive secondhand

  16. I should be used to the weight as i have a TX lol.......looking on net last night even second hand ones are quite expensive....might have to give it a miss due to funds

Me like most men is warm bloded i eat meat.....if a rabbit got mixi i will eat it no problem i dont have a weak stomach nor will i ever........cook the damn thing and get it in ya lol Edited to say that if it's summit we can catch so bloody what..we can go doctors rabbits carnt......i eat rabbit,squirrel and squabs and i love it....dont care what they got in all honesty its meat

Alrite guys/gals im looking into a Air Arms Pro Elite.....i know they are quite few and far between but i like the fact of having another springer but in break barrel.................i have done a little reading on them and as far as i can tell they are better than the HW80........do any of you have experiance with these rifles and if so how did you find it?
  19. Not hard to imagine mate...my old cat used to catch them all the time...but he never caught a adult rabbit always kits or half growns......an adult rabbit can weigh as much as a cat
