Here's a couple of my 13 week rough blue merle first x collie greyhound puppy. He's going to be a big guy I reckon 11kgs and 19" tts already. He's a clever wee chap. Called him Finn - had him since he was 7 weeks and am well pleased with him.

I had the same prob with one of mine - wash with epsom salts and water and then dip the foot twice a day in potassium permanganate (get it at the chemist)diluted with water. Did the trick fine for my pup. Makes white hair go brownish for a few days but it disappears!!!

That's the prob though Penny - he's less likely to be booted out if he is depressed/suicidal!!! Every effort will be made at rehabilitation and counselling...and I bet suspension if any will be on full pay. Totally no question that he should be sacked without delay, prosecuted and dealt with in the same manner as you or I would be!!! He killed a spaniel in similar circumstances 2-3 years ago - that is an utter disgrace. He should been booted out, lose the pension and be jailed. If I was as incompetent at my job I'd have no work and my family would all be starving!!! f*****g makes me sick.

Dog's probably bang in his prime right now - that means it'll be downhill from here on in but it might take three or four years to start sliding fast. Seen and had some decent older dogs. Dog in my avatar pic was killing foxes when he was 10 years old! If it's a good one I'd take it if I were you mate.

My 13-year-old son showed his 10 month old 3/4 collie greyhound puppy at the Border Area Fieldsports Show today. He was 3rd in the Young Handler Class, 3rd in the Over 24" Smooth Lurcher Class and 1st in the Puppy Class - he also showed my mates' year old beddie/whippet/collie/greys in the pairs and came 1st!!! He's smiling from ear to ear tonight.

When we were kids late teens early 20s we used to go poaching fish in my mate's sister's little white mini she'd saved up to buy it, her old man had done it up and she'd still to sit her test and we used to 'borrow' it to go poaching. It wasn't taxed, insured and neither him or I had a licence. We used to fill the boot and back seat with salmon and take them to my house and fill the bath with them and by noon the next day we'd have sold the lot - local hotels and folk we knew bought some and we had a contact in Wales who'd come up once or twice a season and buy large numbers for £1 per lb. Aye a know both Lads, John only lives over in Kilpatrick-FL-----, I FOR GOT TO MENTION, there was a nice bit of frost lying on the ground that morning, another time, I was out, this was probably, about 1974/5 another dog I had, took 7 seven Hares, in about one half hours, and every Hare was layed at my feet, there was FATHER AND SON, sadly the old man has passed on a very good friend of mine, his son Robert, is going strong lives around Gretna, they are all related to the two you named, and again No Saluki blood, RUNNING IN THOSE DOGS, ALL WAS DONE IN BROAD DAYLIGHT, yes those were the days,

I can remember me and my mate catching rabbits basically wherever we wanted with my ferrets and his whippet. No one really bothered us and apart from the local gravedigger who ran us ragged when we were chasing rabbits in the graveyard. I can stil picture his wee face getting redder and redder as he jooked among the gravestones trying to catch us and getting more out of breath by the minute. He would roar "c'mere ya wee c**ts - ee've got nae respect for the deid now f**k off". We were left to our own devices really and no one seemed to bother. However, that was 35 years ago - times have change

Fair enough - if you are offering a point of view or an opinion on something or other I suppose you have to accept that not everyone will agree with you. But I have seen folk looking for advice or simply asking questions only to see their post hijacked and have the piss ripped out of them. Agreed. But alot of the time the question seems to be pretty stupid and there will be some folk who've seen this question time and time again and decide to slate instead of give advice. Sometimes advice is given and the OP doesn't take it..... Thats the ones that go down hill very very quickly.....
