    If I knew where Squeak was I probably could, but hes like the scarlet pimpinelle, I had a copy but lent it out, and as usualy, it didnt come back..The onlt thing that spoils it is the swearing, but if you turn it down, there is some interesting footage..

    Yip Helen, there is a big gulf between working deerhounds and show deerhounds..not just in size..

    Canny size Helen, but Ive had a pure deerhound that killed 27 rabbits in one nights work, and also took bolting rabbits in the daylight. One bitch I had also won through to the semi finals of a lamping copmpetition against lurchers..so their not all that bad. But, an average lurcher is probaly better than a good deerhound for rabbits..and theres plenty of them knocking about now, hope you get what you are looking for

    Hey Kay, I know nowt about converters, but, most of the people I know who have Canon gear like yourself, go for the cheaper Sigma lenses as opposed to the more expensive Canon lenses, have you had a look at any of these..both new and second hand.

    When I was ringing with the BTO, the thing that amazed me about coal tita was the size of their feet in proportion to their body, absolutely massive, always took some getting out of the nets..Nice collection of photos of them though hon..just need some long tails to come next

    Never had much to do with RAW myself, but Im suprised that a program like CS3 cannot open them..but, you may neeed C`s software installed..mmmm one for the experts on here I think

    Cheers Bird, agree with most of what you say, ground does help alot, your not going to get 30 rabbits on a golf course..and you certainly cant catch big bags if theres not the rabbits to catch, that why we travelled..but, Ive took lads from different parts of the country and they came back with a lot less that on the same ground we were getting a lot more. Even on good ground the rabbits dont just jump into your gamebag. I remember a lad from Durham carrying his dog back to the car, and calling us mad for the way were were grafting ours.     some squatters, some short runs, some that ran like hares, you know what its like on a nights lamping..Yes it is a hell of a score, I am a numbers man, and its the best Ive done in one night, and an achievement that I never let anyone take anything away from what the dogs did on that night..no we didnt have to carry them back, no they werent totally f**ked, that night happened on the 1st of the month, Yella was out again on the 3rd-9 rabbits, 7th-33 rabbits, 14th 8 rabbits, 18th 3 rabbits, 23rd 11 rabbits, 25th 24 rabbits, 27th 15 rabbits, 29th 8 rabbits and 30th 9 rabbits

    The ones Ive seen on lamped well, Ive had 2 that both got into the hight 20`s, and the dog Axel off Lurchermania I saw get over 30 in one night..what they have is determination, the temperament to run rabbit after rabbit all night, you can take them out every night of the week,,what I havent seen yet is a deerhound x greyhound that couldnt kill a rabbit on the lamp, or indeed, during the day
