  1. I think your puppy came from Hancock? Right? How old is she now? He feeds a complete food that is 25% protein. I'm not sure what Chudley's comes in at protein wise but I'd check that out - I don't think it'll be 25%. I think the higher the protein the less you have to feed - that works for me. If it's cheaper and not as good quality wise they tend to need and eat more. Beta puppy food is excellent but dearer at almost £30 for a 15kg sack around here. I feed new puppies either Beta puppy or Gain Puppy and Sapling (£19.00 per 15kg sack and small pieces ideal for puppies) both are around the
  2. This isn't meant to sound patronising but any increase in intake will have more faeces. There'll be a lot less in the stools from just chicken and rice than there will from 'dried' food but that's normal if you think how much water there'd be in the rice and chicken; imagine how much you'd look at feeding if you dehydrated the chicken and rice! Does that make sense? I get what you mean mate yea , could be right
  3. I agree that the change can be as much the problem as the food, but have been adding the puppy food back into her diet vary gradually, all seemed ok with her till yesterday but she has began to show signs of the upset starting again, so have reduced the puppy food back down again today . But as the puppy food has increased so has the quantity she shits , this makes me think there is loads of waste or useless crap in the puppy food that is just passing straigt thro her ? Would you agree that is possible ? I think I will deff be changing her over to a more expensive complete food that w
  4. Hi , some might have already read that my pup has had some problems with her stool and guts, suspected colitis and blood. Well that has cleared up well after having the pup on a diet of boiled chicken and rice for the past 2 weeks, ive been in the process of moving her back over to her complete puppy food which I have been adding soaked in water to the chicken and rice, I've Been adding it slowly but now as the quantity has increased and she's on about half of each her guts seem to be beginning to upset again , her stool is getting much more moist again, vary smelly and the amount she is shit

Went out first time today with the pup, and she loved it, only went to a playing fields that's right opposite my house, went this morning with a friend and his staff pup that is the same age as my pup , and my pup was vary bold with her , was running at her full pelt and taking her down all the time lol and loads of play fighting, went over for 15 mins again this evening remembered to take some pics this time , she is starting to learn tho was to distracted for fetching so nocked that on the head but she is starting to learn recall, got to call her a few tine but she comes running in top speed
  10. Quick up date, my pup is doing much better , she did start to improve , but I followed the advice given , give her some pro biotic yogurt , and she is on plain boiled chicken and rice , her stool has dried right up and is now normal as it should be , no mucus or blood, gona keep her on this for a week or so now and then slowly put her back onto the complete puppy food, but I'm going to soak it for her in future

  19. I wormed her with her first jab, and was told she was wormed to date when I got her , is it still possible she could have worms ? , I did have some food with her not a greate amount and it was adult complete dry food, have changed her over to a complete puppy food now, like I said she is vary happy and seems healthy and eats well , but it has been concerning me the blood, her last stool now seemed better and more solid , but it has been like this for a week or so now some seem better then some are runny with the blood , if it is an infection then it should be easily treated yea ?

  21. Hi , when I got my pup the breeder told me she would likely get the shits , and don't be supprised if there is a streek of blood as it's not unusual . Well she has had the shits and it has been streeked with blood, I told the vet about it when I took her for her first jab , but the vet didn't seem to woorried about it just said keep an eye on it . Well seems to be getting worse, and mucusie some times 2, She is due to go back to the vet tuesday for her second jab , but I'm going to take her Monday to get her checked and see what the vet thinks about her still having blood in her stool.
