im not getting into an argument now but thats utter bollox about the hawke scopes as they are made for recoiling rifles and this would knock the crosshairs off. also my sling broke on my rifle tuther day and my rifle hit the floor with the scope smashing on the floor and the scope is in mint condition with no damage internally or externally. scott -
ok will do the pulsar and the merlin are the two which seem to keep popping up will have to compare them some how. cheers

i have had a couple of hawke scopes and think they are fantastic. i would go for a hawke. i would go for either - hawke airmax IR 4-12x40 AO (MAP6) £70 - map 6 reticles are great and compatible with hawke brc or if you want mildots - hawke sport hd 3-9x50 AO (Mil Dot) £55 or just look on www.deben.com they have all lastest hawke scopes. hope this helps scott -

hi lads i know this might not be directly to do with shooting air rifles but i know the people on here like to hunt so i would just like to let anybody who plays xbox 360 know that there is a FPS hunting game available on the xbox 360 marketplace to download. it is a hunting game made by 'cabelas' ( a well known brand ) and they have made a few games but only availble in america but there is one availble in uk. its called 'alaskan adventures' i downloaded it the other day for £15 and is rather good in my opinion ( sorry if you buy it and dont like it lol ) it uses similar

hi mate if your looking at the tactical 400/700 dont bother buying one for £70+ you can buy exact copies off ebay for under £20!! i have one and they use exactly the same bulb as the tracer ones. heres a link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ULTRAFIRE-TORCH-WF-502B-5-MODE-CREE-LED-300-LUMENS-/260719993521?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Camping_LightsLanternsTorches&hash=item3cb41f62b1 this is a uk seller i found after just ordering one from china alot of people have them on here and they are fantastic and in some ways can be too bright! hope this helps scott

the main differences are: s410 has a noticable thinner barrel than the s510 s410 has a bolt cocking lever and the s510 has a side lever i think the s510 only comes in carbine version everything else is probably more technical but i will say the s410 is more popular. hope this helps scott

Air arms s410c mods
19powell90 replied to lampingboy's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hey mate your local gunsmiths will fit the studs for a bipod etc. mine charged me £5 for the studs and fiited them for free as for a bipod you cant go wrong with harris i have one any are fantastic! as for a sling you can attach them to yours studs and also when you have a bipod, it attachs to that instead, me myself hate slings as they get in the way and recently my clip broke and my rifle crashed to the floor and bent the barrel as for a gold trigger you will have to get it fitted by a gunsmith unless you feel confident but you need to check if your rifle is anti-tamper -
the 15's are FAC though arent they? scott

hi lads i thought i would join in the fun. i use simple, multiple 1" white circles to zero with as its quicker and more accurate with real hunting situations. i have just created a target which has outer 1" circles then inner 20p size circles then inner most 5p sized circles i created it on word does anyone know how to upload it?

hi lads me again lol me and my mate have invested in some 2 way radios for our new land permission. we bought a pair of binatone action 950 £45 from argos comes with rechargeable batteries and a charging dock. we tried them out the day we got them and the range is amazing i also took it to my house as my mate took it to his house approx 2 miles away and even through all the houses inbetween they worked superbly. heres a picture of them if you would like more info please just ask. hope you likey scott

hi lads basically i thought i would share my experience with the daystate select ft heavy .177 my rifle is a AA s410 classic in .177 flavour and performs very well with the great AA Fields. however i wanted a heavier pellet to give a bit more impact and also perfom better in wind without comprising accuracy. so i tried a few different heavies e.g. bisley mags, jsb heavies, daystate etc.. the bisley mags i tried dropped alot over distance but with an ok grouping the jsb dropped a bit less than the mags also with an ok grouping BUT the daystate heavies 4.52mm are bloo

hi lads thanks to unfortunate events my sling decided to slip of the clips on my s410 and my rifle crashed to floor whilst cushioning the blow with my foot the barrel still hit the floor and slightly bent the end now after adjusting my scope (proping the back mount up with cloth) i am back on zero with no accuracy change (lucky) but i dont want to have a rifle with a bent barrel so i am just wondering if anyone knows how to change an s410 barrel and is it an easy job? i am going to ring gun shop on tuesday and check prices with them also. i know i can get a barrel for around

Hi lads thanks for the comments. well we went out for a quick lamping session tonight and saw about 5 bunnies but all ran off or were to far to shoot. always typical when u get excited about a first lamping session on a new permission - but many more days to come. all wasnt going well for me today after having dropped my rifle and softed the blow with my foot which hit the scope and sent it WELL off - 6ft under to be precise!!!!! so i had to cut some cloth and put it under the back mount to sort it out. all seems well for now as i was hitting bottle caps at 50m after zeroing.
