It sickens me to think that there is always someone who will call themselves a sportsmen that is only to quick to help himself to another mans sport without a thought of the work and pride that has been put in to the up keep of all be it a simple chicken or dog . I like him hard feather I like both type of birds ,long in The body or short backed as long as there is no Carlisle show blood that is ,a lot of old English blood of yesteryear was not as long in the back or as reachy as today's birds ,and remember how many of today's gingers are free of red quill blood ,but this is just my opinion, atb basil

There are so many different methods to breeding and what seems good to one man might be sacralige to the next in my honest opinion listen to everything ,read plenty , and try what you fancy, if you try to take it all in at once it will blow your brain. Pick the meat and leave the bones some might say .i like to think trial and error makes sense if it don't work how you want try it another way, I have heard say don't breed from first year hens and others say use a 3 year old cock to young hens and that is ok .me personally i like my hens to be 2 years old to breed but I know of people who will

I heard this a long time ago but never done it , it would be interesting to see the out come, I have put black reds to Pyles to strengthen colours but fortunately I have never had to croos into my gingers with any other colour to keep them going .has any one else on here put Pyles into gingers and if so what is the out come.atb basil
