  1. looks like a common buzzard to me
  2. Ant, best to fire the bottom barrel first. As it's in a more direct line with your shoulder, you will get less muzzle flip. If you need to get onto target you'll have an increased chance of doing so. A small difference, but can make all the difference
  3. Why's that pal.. A couple oh hours up the road I was referring to your distance from the dog when you took that picture!
  4. Drives sheep and cattle. Won't shift pigs though. He's happy to be out with the lurchers, good nose and opens up on quarry. Which is a useful asset at times.
  5. Your welcome to him. Its the wifes dog and far too sensitive for me.
  6. Check its super proofed for steel. Its normally not recommended to use steel in anything tighter than half choke.
  7. They did the Native man well for many a year Willow, until the need (cheat ) to use non native dogs to catch native gear took over Says the fella looking for an Aussie cattle dog x Not looking , got one and my lurcher has saluiki, belgium mally and american bull in her as well ,all said tounge in cheek mate but i am personaly far more impressed by a native bred dog doing the job than ever am a non native long distance runner catching a sprinting native animal . only pulling ya leg fella. 9. Litter brother.... Either of you two ever breed off them? or did they wear out before the chance arose? Mine killed himself on a rabbit just short of his second birthday. Extreme prey drive, too much in my humble opinion, did not know when to ease up. And if that is the dog I am thinking of he done really well for himself, but if he was bred from I cannot tell you. TC TC, I like humble opinions

  11. never known a sulky one Giro, but nervey buggers are well known.
  12. you dont have to wait as long for a reply though!
  13. I love my collie x's, always have had one or 2 knocking about the place. But whilst they can be the most intelligent of animals, do you really need that level of brain power? They pick up bad habits just as easily as good ones. And as has been said, temperament is paramount. Not just in the dog, but also the owner
  14. "my dad used to have some ferrets, but not anymore. He seldom"
  15. Spot on that. I've said it before. All this "justify working 2 dogs" bollocks. Justify it to who? If I want 2, 3 or 4 working dogs then I will do just that. They will all get out plenty and get lots of attention and good food. What's "enough work"? How can you quantify the definition of "enough work for 2 dogs". It's all just bollocks. Get whatever dogs you want fella. Look after them and enjoy them. The only caveat I would add to that is trying to train and enter 2 pups will not get the best out of both. Spread them out age wise, otherwise you'll end up burying them all a
  16. A mate I could be wrong but the op what's your gym routines question may have been a rhetorical question Well he's definitely knocking something out!
  17. it's like being married to a brickie Well she has got bloody rough hands And you should see her stacking bales. Puts many lads to shame
  18. Dont bother with that gym stuff anymore. If your not knackered after a days graft, your not grafting hard enough. And the wife was a champion figure body builder, so I get to see that every morning
  19. A year ago I picked up a pup to fill the boots of my older dogs. It'll take some doing. Lets see what the next few years bring Thing is I don't know if I should enter her into the Forley Cup, or One Man and his bleeding Dog
  20. This is the 4th lot she has raised in the muck heap this year. I wouldn't have seen this if the dog hadn't marked it.
  21. I'm afraid thats how pension schemes work. you pay in X, for so many years, then get Y back a month ad infinitum. Unless a court dictates otherwise. The interest on his pension payments will have benefitted "hunting" somewhere along the way
