any game gets harder nearer the end of every season, as all the easy ones are caut, but ive always believed a dog has to have pace to make a rabbit etc make mistakes as there nothing worse than a tail chaser turning but not cacthing them, good winter wheat rabbs are always harder than heavy grass rabbits ,speed comes more into it , were as rough land durability can help if your out a lot ,if your going have good dogs you need that pace , in reserve for to pick them up and agility and good fitness , -
Listen Cassanova. If your that bothered do a women's rabbiting comp just make sure all the dogs are brushed an toes clipped before each heat.

l dont get how your going have a lamping comp that your going hunt diff things how can it be fair?????you might on call up 1 fox that night or see only one deer cant see it working and women dont only hunt rabbits They do, an if they don't they should how wrong can some people be ? ive helped clean up and patch up more dogs than some . sexism is one of the rules of the forum and by not letting a lady run you break a rule, it comes close to racism which is also a rule of the forum If that's correct then I apologise but am sorry rules are rules an there's

I used this thread to make up a reserve list that's sorted so no need to go into things as for no women then it's not only a rabbiting comp.

Key word being (helped) ex. No females allowed. I'll update the rules. Your right iceman everyone involved knows exactly who's running what an they all know the rules

Nefinest, your post is one of the reasons NE lads aint welcome. Nothin worse than having a run out with lads that Havnt got your back. An just squeal when things go wrong. Thanks to THEMAN for the pm. The land you sent me pictures of puts you straight at the top of reserve list you are more than likely in as a couple have already been having second thoughts.

I appreciate that tag, we could do with more venues for the bigger stuff. We have plenty of rabbiting ground on offer. Thanks for the pm your right in the middle of a couple of lads that are in the comp. Thanks again.

Ignore baw. He's one of the lads that wasn't happy about finding reserves on a forum. Lol Just keep the Pms coming if you want to be on the reserve list. Just remember the 3 rules.

Lads from North are more then welcome to join the reserve list. An if you think this is gettin run in an around the south your right but that's only because the there lads in the comp that are from down south that have put up the land to. I'll sort threw Pms shortly an if anyone has had trouble gettin in touch try again my inbox has been full an I didn't realise. If I'd have knew all these people that have got in touch were interested the comp would have been alot bigger. Will bere that in mind if all goes smooth this year..

Am running a comp, it starts the second week of September. All the places are full if any drop out ill let you lads know. As for tedwater dogs being eligible that's a no no. The reason for this is dotty would want to enter an call his dog,dottwater. an am also sorry for the 8 year old who's put that money on tedwater you might aswel have bought yourself a new action man. If you would like to put your name down on the reserv list . Let me know. The only rules are as follows- NO Whippets. NO full collies (MInshaws) NO NE lads Apart form that all is welcome..

Yea the sire is matins brin. The dam is a dog joe bred i have never seen brin working but what i have heard from a couple lads its a handy dog. I have got the other dog pup i also have the brother to the dam an hes a handy tool as joe will confirm. We are going to run the to dog pups on see what we can make of them. If they turn out anythin like the dams brother ill be a happy man. . All the best
