    Well i thought i had read/ heard some crap on here, but i think this takes the biscuit!. Anyway, good to see you are looking after your glass and choosing suitable cull beasts, which if i remember correctly is what we are trying to achieve.

    Why put the time into putting a trap in the ground that will only ever catch one, when you can put one in that regularly catches two, doesnt make sense.

    Tis one of those things, better this than being chased down by a few dogs ripping at their sides and then some noddy trying to finish them off with an opinel who doesnt have the first clue how to do it. Also looks like a Hilux convention. Regards MT.

    Hi there, did you make your own bolt traps ?, if you did, what gauge wire did you use, i am looking at some 14g at the moment which is 2mm, not sure this is heavy enough. Regards MT.

    Really interesting to see how pesties go about their work in other countries, my sister in law lives in the states and is always asking me to POP OVER and sort out her star nosed moles. Thanks for that MT.

    Does anyone know where all the used fleet vehicles from the utility companies go?, We have looked everywhere and the trade seem to like to keep it a trade secret, we found one, but they are not the main auction outlet. Also, while we are here, anyone had any bad experiences with Toyota hilux D4D,s 03 onwards. Regards MT.

    looking at useing it for fox shooting at 200yds max, will have about £300 to spend Sorry meant what richie said.

    good choice, mine is a Steyr Prohunter stainless, brilliant round, i use Lapua ready rolled 156 grn megas, there aint nothing going to survive that. Added bonus is the recoil is user freindly also.

    After reading your post about the does thought i would divert my attention from the Fallow and try and catch up on my Roe, bumped two bucks in velvet within the first 5 mins, then proceeded to bump two yearling does 5 mins later. , carried on around the fields and started into the wood, came face to face with a nice dog fox, watched him through the x hairs for 20 seconds or so, carried on up the hill through the wood, all of a sudden 2 young does came running across the bank above me, after a bit of running around one of them stood broadside on offering a safe head shot , all of 35 yds.     Moley , there is no contraversy there, trammels kill all rabbits, yes they are a bit of a pain to extract etc, but we are pesties and earn our living from killing the rabbits whether they be little fluff balls or gnarly old bucks, it is a numbers game. My longest trammel has big square pockets, funny enough i think i got that one off jb, anyhow it is bloody deadly. Good to see your busy, J.

    Is that right ...ever heard of Rabbit control - Pests Act 1954.. I have over 30 yrs experience fella,In all my time providing a service, it was always a tip of the hat from the landowner and a thanks from him. I have never had anyone else go on any farm I had access to. Ha Ha Akton, with an attitude like that you would go far down here, every farmer/land owner you spoke like that to would tell you to fu.k right off their land.

Hi D, did not ring because this sort of job would have bored you to death, more time sat down on a wall out the wind than walking, we still need to ferret it though, was thinking about trying to round up some helpers who know what they are doing to come along as i want to hit this one hard and quick, there are quite a lot of sets.     Are you saying you use gps to find your way back to jobs or you have to use it to find your traps ?, either way i find it strange someone who has got so experienced and busy has to resort to this.

    Blo.dy hell richie, you dont want much do you lol, i have enough trouble getting the damned thing to work let alone getting pictures through it. Let me put it this way, When it is behaving itself and it is dry with clear visability the rabbits you see at 35-75 yds are clear as day albeit in green, BUT, the cross hair is still hard to make out until you get used to it, nothing like the new digital stuff, does the job "when it is working", but for the money.

    Cheers, bugger is i am trying to get out and cull some more Fallow does before it is too late but the damned rabbit and moles are in coherts with them, lol. No I could not hit a barn if I was inside with a catty. Usual rabbit medicine, Rugger 10/22 with Eley subs, most lung/heart shot others head shot, when on paid jobs I go for engine room shots in preference as it comes down to numbers so dont want to miss too many.     Pictures of some of the damage done to the fruit trees, another 2 nights NV work and a couple of days ferreting should put a stop to this. Just realised there is 1 rabbit missing, one of those theiving lurchers must of snuck off with it.
