"Sophamy" I would think there is still a bit of My stuff kicking about behind todays dogs, plenty of My stuff went the top kennel`s. I used to use mainly Bullyview,Marshelsea and Kilacabar stuff, My foundation bitch was a Rolling Thunder daughter. Still keep intouch with a few people, UKUSA especially along with Bullyview. Thorny

just had a litter of pups this is the farther most of my dogs are creddeta pal Good luck with them, I know Chris and Bernadette, been a years since I saw them. Walked away from the breed a few years ago now, I think the breed is bang in trouble, dogs to heavy and big purely for show ring, and the heredatory problems that plague them is never going to go away unless drastic action is taken. We breed some great stuff and enjoyed showing at the top level, after I lost a whole litter of pups by the age of 4 years old due to Kidneys I never went back. Both parents upc tested clear and both liv

Good luck with Your pups mate, You will find them easier than Bull Terriers Thorny Bully Bitch looks like the hint of Bilboen about Her?

At the end of the day, a bit of blood is not that good in a pup,but in most cases is just down to straining for the toilet rather than something sinister inside. I have a Hancock pup, He is doing really well, I will say He was a little under wieght when I bought Him home, but a week of descent grub and He was fine. Thorny

Two months between season never heard of that!. Always kept bitch`s upto 6 at once living in a pack, Usually a bitch will have Her first season from anything from 6 months up to even 2 years old, just depending on how your bitch has matured, breeding, exercise and even diet. You will find that as they grow older they will all end up as near the same cycle as each other, and a bitch coming into season can spur another on. This is why in a racing Gryehound kennel, they remove season bitch`s to a seperate quarter. Didnt really understand Your post re Your other bitch, how old is She and when was He

Doubt that was to do with one mating, more the day it took place on. Bitches most fertiles days vary but as a rule 13 and 15 are the best, and usually get results. So next time perhaps take her a day later, remember sperm is still working up to 72 hours after Her mating. Good luck next time and try to get two matings on seperate days, not a fan of two matings in one day, I think all they offer is peice of mind rather than results, once He has blown his load he is like all us fella`s more interested in whats in the fridge or on telly Thorny

Thanks for Your kind words. He is the first ever working dog I have owned, always fancied one but never had the time to give to train a pup, due to young family and work. I am loving owning this dog training has been easier than I thought it would be. He is just eager to please all the time. I just hope I can do Him justice and bring the best of him out. Roll on the coming years. Thorny

Interesting post to me this one, I dont understand how this cross will create pups that are upright in the stiffle???. This is a problem in any dog if you breed from an animal that holds this flaw in its own make-up. Simply use an animal that has a correct bend to stiffle whilst a flat top line. The knee problem mentioned is a slipping patela and yes this is an heredatory fault in Bull Terriers. Basically put in normal terms the ball at the end of the bones is near none exsistant and allows the bone to slip in and out of the joint. Again simply just use an animal that is showing no signs of th

I started with a 12 week old puppy and will end with 7 month puppy and looking forward to next season, to see if all the hard work we have put in together to date and over the summer period will pay off. Then possibly the following 12 months settling the dog to his job and brushing up on any problems that may occur in the hope the following season I have a strong fit and healthy well manured, well trained dog that due to the time we have spent together we can work as a team and enjoy what we do. Really looking forward now, this will continue until my mate has grown to old, and the lure of lyi

Be careful not to over feed him when he starts, as He will just blow it out his back end. Tinned food isnt they ay to go mate. Usualy its to rich and all You will do is walk around the garden with a pooh scoop, as can be the case with a dry food only diet. It doesnt cost the earth to feed a good diet. When I bought My pup home He was on a dry food only diet. so over the course of a week or so I got him on raw meat.I now feed him on raw beef, tripe or chicken. Fresh veg. The wife just does a little extra when cooking our evening meal. Mixed with a small amount of dry food that has been soaked.

Tripe & Beef all the way mixed with a good quality puppy dry food
