  1. This is a pic of my pat pup from nuttal wheeler lines, I have a question as to why his head is so broad is this from wheeler lines.

Beddy whip is probably the best dog you could go for, also thinking about the summer months you could go for one of the bigger whippets that a cropping up now, so your lad works it in the winter, in in the summer months you get an excuse to take you lad to as many game fairs as you want so he can race & show it, good criac I thought.
  4. Went on Sunday and entered my little whip in the under 21" charity race and got resurve, beaut of a day, crowds of people there, sent the misses out for prize.
  5. Taking my pup terrier to show and race the whipps, we won't come anywhere but I go too meet other people that have the same interest's, if you take it to seriously you get bitter, hope to see some of you there.
  6. Nuttal / Wheeler lines, saw the dam she was a nice calm dog, sire wasn't there, he was from Yorkshire, pups were healthy active eyes were clear and bright, thought I would have some fun with a dog like this.
  7. Since starting this thread have been on the lookout for a working terrier, so have ended up my search with this, I think this dog will do all I ask and a lot more.
  8. Not terriers but whippets are great ratters and usually beat a terrier to a quick rat. Don't know if anyone else has experience of ratting with whippets.
  9. This is the first time he's seen a ferret and I think it went well.

  12. Picked up my 8 week old pup, how soon do you let them see ferrets, when feeding the ferrets i lift him up to show him and let him sniff, but he hasnt had any jabs yet so not letting them jump over him.
  13. How far along is the "kink", mine has the last 1.5 inches at right angles to the tail and it doesn't affect her running, it broke in the womb before she was born, so she knows no different.
  14. Patterdale666 dog on the left has a cracking head on it, what lines ?, hope mine turns out like that.
  15. if i'm honest i've forgot was in blokes house for an hour chatting about dogs, was looking over dam when i asked but cant remember what he said, i wouldnt have know them anyway, dam was a cracker, lovely broad head, nice and stong, 6 pups altogether, 2 died at birth, i got his phone number and i'll ring him and ask again, was looking over his 9 lurchers, very nice bloke, very helpful loved talking about his dogs, dont we all. Have called and he's Nuttal x Wheeler. Cheers.

  17. Right seen a thread on here for black dogs, let me see some red dogs so I can see what mine will look like, I'll start you of with my pup @ seven weeks, pick him up next weekend.
  18. What is the height of the average working Plummer. Is it same size as a Russell or do they vary, at Kelmarsh there was a lad with 3 small ones which looked great with a broad head.

  20. Fair point, BB24. A lot of it has to do with how it's brought on, IMO.
