  4. DO NOT PUT VASELINE ON A TICK!! I hope you meant on a tick bite mate! Use an Autohm (cannae remember the spelling) tick remover or frontline,, NOTHING ELSE!! Don`t try any of the voodoo that folk put on here about burning thenm off with fags, or nail varnish remover ,petrol, vasaline, you name it .. All you do is risk the tick emtying into the ferret which will lead to infection. I`ve said before ,,treat it like you would if you`re kid had a tick !! If in doubt speak to someone or go to a vet (last resort £££££) ATB NO mate I meant that if you cant get hold of a sp

  7. I recomend the 'O-Tom' tick remover and(or) some vasaline for any ticks that have already bitten......... then frontline is dear but probably worth it for prevention in the future when the season comes back around...
  8. £60 is a good price mate I got mine done earlier this year initial cost was £59.. But bare in mind that its advised that you wait 3 weeks + before putting him in with the jills as there can still be old sperm in his tubes.
  9. Nah mate dont think national park let you, but i suppose you can just say your walking your dog if you happened to get asked by a warden(we get quite a few wardens about down here on dartmoor). Even still you may nwant to ask the commeners and farmers to the moors who put there livestoick out on them about it else they could get pissed off with you and there new 'neighbour'.... atb
  10. Just to update you all one 'Badger' My hobs progress. After changing him over from sawdust in his hutch to newspaper his wound is much cleaner as i no longer had to pick out wood shavings with tweezers daily. And now after a week and a bit of giving him antibiotics twice a day and bathing his wound in salt water twice daily he is recovering very well and the wound is closing up. So yeah its all turned out well and he's on the road to recovery and should be ready to be put in with jill's soon

However I turn up at the vets to drop the ferret off and speak to the nurse, who said
