  3. depends if anyone has the sporting rights or the right he is given in the lease, most tenented farms are ok apart from where someone else has the sporting rights, and where the are tenented from organisations like the national trust cheers wink
  4. o yes thats what i ment to say, just my heads still stuck in the good old days
  5. it is a whole diffrent thing to going out on a sunday and digging and to do it you need a whole range of dogs, and good ones at that, some dogs that out and out diggers would shoot on site, but are invaluble to me. its about getting the job done, and providing sport, alot is in the preperation the day before getting them ontop and on the day pushing them out way on in front, there is more of a skill in going on in front and finding them, then following hounds and digging behind them when they cold mark or run in after 20 yards, imho not hunting. although there are lots of diffrent packs with d

    Quads

i use a honda 500 05 reg day in day out(and it gets tested in my line of work), superb machine. i have driven alot of quads of all makes, and would have nothing but a honda by choice, had a few 400 aswell but this new 500 is a real nice drive. there certinally worth the extra money. infact the only one that i thought came remotly close for engineering and feel although was ugly as hell was an Artic Cat, but then again i only drove it for a day. the BIG engines of the yammy and kawasaki seem appealing and are fun to drive,(in a straight line) but how much flat out work do quads need to do?!
  7. well done mate really like the look of that little russel with lots of colour on it and flecks
  8. i have seen this happens alot of times, very often when there is more than fox in a place or the dog isnt pushing it very hard the fox will naturally creep to the exit hole,(checking for danger i suppose) a net would only appear to them to be an easilly movable obstruction so just like a dog will nuzzle past it to freedom, they will often if sitting at the exit grab a net and pull it back in. just one of those things, they are artful creatures after all!! there is nothing more satisfying than a fox hitting a net hard and being bagged right up though. even when they hit them hard backwards
  9. pictures as requested: mouse will vouch for the fact that this bitch maybe stocky but she is tiny!! a diffrent bitch slightly bigger but still not very big, just better pics this is not how the collor is ment to be worn, but in working practice where it always seems to end up, and imho makes little diffrence. as you can see despite the size of the transmitter it is still insignificant to the shape of bulk of even the smallest of bitches.
  10. will put a better pic up tomorow. i wil be the first to admit that the system does look bulky and tricky but i can assure in working practice it is fine. due to the nature of my work my dogs get worked in a whole range of earths, some large to others that are very very tight, rooty and rocky. it has not let me down yet. if i was to make one improvment it would be to make the red plastic collor slightly more flexablle so that pushing on could be made a bit easier( a simple mod really). im not sure the collors need to be so big either, i havent needed to make new holes, but nearly all my b

  12. all my bitches are small, infact my dogs aint really big. the system is spot on, occosionally it has been reading to the side abit, for what reason i dont know, but you wont beat it, has never let me down. and i can tell you i have tested it!! system on little bitches, no trouble:
