  6. The population is in a massive decline where i live. Nothing to keep the younger generation here. No steady work, no money, no life. Even my own kids are leaving, ones left, the other was until this out break. Atb j
  7. I was a member of a few clubs down through the years, the first one was the best, but to small, the other two were just interested in clays and nothing else really. That's all the younger ones wanted, the expensive guns and clothes, with thropys. One fox drive, that just a few other members and myself organised, we said we would build the pens for rearing birds and look after them, the club foot the cost, they didn't want to know. I left it and haven't joined any other since. Sad really, as you said there's great potential here. Atb j

  9. No unfortunately it doesn't. It's fairly hard to make a decent wage at fishing alone now. That's down to a number of reasons. The price of fish, poor, the cost of fuel, pots, bait, running cost of boat and having to pay two people out of the catch. Also the lobster is nearly gone from the fishing grounds by me, that's down to greed and bad management. We have good scallop and oyster beds that's managed by a good fishery co op. But with this covid 19 pandemic, hopfully the fishing grounds will get a well deserved break, and replenish its self. Fish farming was a massive in
  10. Just across the road and beside me. It's a small rual fishing village, one of many along the west coast. Neighbours here are mostly family, either by birth or marriage. It's mostly the same families in the same houses for the last couple of 100 years. Nobody bothers you here, as long as you don't bother them. These a great community spirit, everyone helps and looks out for each other. Fishing was the main lively hood here, no farming or building trade. Atb j
  11. Sorry just notice you ask a about shore fishing, and me on about blue shark and tuna ?? There's plenty of thorny backs, place, dabs, wreass ect ect. All easy access Atb j

  13. Fairly good, no pollution what so ever. Fish from mackerel to blue shark, and tuna. The lakes just hold brown trout, and the odd perch. No pike or course fishing. Atb j
