  4. Hope all turns out the you plan it. Personally I think it's ideal, for two. Nice and simple/cosy. Just need basic kitchen for cooking, won't need washing machine or dryer, just use one of thoes pay ones you see a the petrol stations, one down the road from us. Wood burner for heat. I know it sounds simple, and in my mind it is, it's people that complicate things. Atb j
  5. That's a good price for a shed that size. I'm the sort of person who lives by the motto K.I.S.S keep it simple stupid LOL, Stupid been the main word there lol. My missus and myself are minimalist, we need very little, that why I was thinking of the container, it would save a lot of hassle, construction wise, and on finances as well, plus I wouldnt have to mess around with planning permission, which is a complete nightmare I'm sure before the days out there will be 101 other options put forward LOL Atb j
  6. Was it dry lined. Would have a wood burner in this one for heat/hot water and rads Atb j
  7. This is just an idea at the moment, so just running through ideas. Was pricing block and plaster ect ect, Now since you gave me the idea of timber frame I'll price that as well. The thing with the container, is so far for me at least is, it's left there on site, no need for a raft, or footings for block work, walls and roof already there. All the internal work I can do my self, it wouldn't look like a new build, it's cost effected. I know that there is a lot of snags I haven't seen yet, but as said it's just an idea. It will be just a simple, cosy place for my miss
  8. https://irelandxo.com/ireland/galway/moyrus/news/ordeal-connemara-famine-family A bit of a read, it's a bit about my village in 1880, and about one family remarkable story Atb j
  9. I'm thinking of building a small flat behind our house here, and giving my daughter and her family ours, more room for the her, and will help them along. Was thinking of converting a 20ft/30ft container into a one bedroom/bathroom, kitchen/living aera. Have looked on You tube, can't seen to much hassle. Has anyone any experience in converting these. Atb j

  13. Sickening Drive down the road, without tax, nct or insurance, it's like crime of the century. And if you have a drink in you, or a joint, you definitely screwed, it's like you committed mass murder Atb j
  14. Looking forward to hearing about it, and seeing pics. Good luck on the hunt Atb j
  15. The only dog that was nice looking and was of some value on there was a collie x bull/grey, 200 I think months old. Atb j
  16. After reading this thread, I went on done deal Ireland. My god their charging some crazy money, I think the cheapest was a 1000 euro, some were 3.5k. Atb j
  17. Each one as bad as the other. We're buggered with this lot ????? Atb j
  18. What I can't understand, why is just the blacks that are kicking off. What about the Mexicans, the native Americans so and so on. They have just as much, if not more to complain about than the blacks . But what really sickens me is the white people apologising for something someone else did two or three lifetimes ago. And especially a country that had nothing to do with slavery (ireland) Atb j
  19. Yes hayes is an Irish name. What a lot of people forget is that Ireland and Britain are a lot alike in terms of genetics and blood lines. Why wouldn't we be, been so close to each other all this time. Trading, and Waring with each other before B.C. Atb j
  20. The irish and British were enslaving each other long before the Romans, Saxons or vikings landed on our shore. It's recorded that there was a healthy slave trade between Ireland and Wales . Its happening today and no amount of blm protests is going to stop it. As far as I can see, they would sooner destroy what we have now, instead of working to make it better for everyone. Atb j

    All over fb

It's happening every where Atb j
  22. And still people here dispute these facts, and try and make out we had a hand in the slave trade Atb j
  23. I really hope the British isles gets its act together and stops this madness, before its to late. Atb j
