    Well its depends on the quality/material and what oz the thicker is better as it dont tangle start with purse nets and go from there useally there from £1-£3 each but you get what you pay for hemp/nylon/polyester. And i agree Longnetter off here has a good reputation from what ive heard with purse nets.

    They knock them over at first so mine are nailed in i put shaveings in them and the kitten ones are better than the bigger ones.

    Look on ebay i just brought a 2 mk1 boxes and a collar for £37 but there faulty my dad should be able to fix them-touch wood. Ive used a collar with bells before but i think it clogged with mud alot.

    By the sounds of it I would say there's something wrong with the conditions your mate keeps his ferrets in.. As Ideation says there are issues regarding the Jill jab, as well as what he wrote I've also heard of them getting tumours after getting the jab so is that really an option? You asked wether anyone did an experiment and i told you an example of what happened to a friend he obviously he didnt do it out of spite or deliberately as an experimant probly more to do with ignorance/not knowing theres also an implant ive heard about for jills and yes they will come in season twice usea

    You can get away with it IF your jill doesnt get an infecton a mate of mine bred 8 yes 8 litters of ferrets last year which is irraspoceable howether he left about 8 jills inseason and 4 of them got infections and ended up dead is it realy worth the risk of them dieing or worth churning out unwanted kits? I use a vasectomised hob put over them when in season takes them all out and realy reduces the risk of infection/anemia. You could get the jill jab from the vets some do it for about £3 a ferret.     Dont breed it or leave it in season sometimes you can get away with it but theres a risk you wont.

    Some just are smaller make sure they have enough food and they all get equal parts each.

    All will work its just to what degree some take to it easyer than others some take alot of trips out before they improve i think years ago when ferrets almost always worked and did the job well first time may of been because they were less domesticated? and theyre wasnt many bred purposely on looks and looks alone by all these pet ferret owners, ive only seen two/3 ferrets do well at first thats out of quite a few some go down once then decide they wont the next time then resurface i brought a ''working jill'' last year took it out wouldnt even enter goes to show it clearly wasnt worked much b
