  1. Thanks very much John. I have not been sea fishing for a long time my self, use to enjoy the craic. Prehaps this summer ill go again if i get the time.
  2. Where abouts in Yorkshire were they from mate? Dont know where in yorkshire they were from, the first time i seen the documentry, was back then in 82, on tv and watched it 100's of times after, on video... I was into ferreting big time then and still am, not as much as i was, as more into the running dogs these days. Great to see again and have now added it to my favorites.
  3. That brings back some memorys for me, it was 1982 and 2 decent gents, Ken griifits and Jim Walsh. I remember when it first came on the tv, i was waiting all day for it and recorded the program with a video recorder, the old betamax tapes that i had as a lad back then.. I believe ken, has died now, not sure about the other chap, Jim walsh. The whole series was called 'Jacks Game'. Them were the days, sadly missed..
  4. Just seen the thread here feeding dogs sprats. So was wondering, is it ok to feed whole raw herrings? As they are larger, they would have bigger sharp bones? I feed sardines in tins with tomato sauce, but the herrings would work out cheaper for me. Cheers.

  6. I have a whippet with Barnsmore breeding in her, she is hard and takes foxes well. She will stop at nothing..
  7. What lines are you running Sean? Grand catch their by the whippet. I think Mike Browns lines are very good..

  11. When young, it was the numbers game for me, but as im getting older, i try and keep the dogs eager and an hour or 2 here and their, with a half dozen or so, is enough for me. Good night lads, nice healthy looking bunny's their too.

  16. Thats handy then, as i dont like the idea of them going out quick and getting left in the dark, or a dog on a rabbit and it all goes black... Handy to know how much battery life is left, so you know when to pack up and go..

  20. Thanks. On the dvd, a bitch called sky, got knocked down, but cleo, was a fawn bitch and think she was 3/4 whippet, 1/4 bull, thats the bitch i was on about, she was on a cold wind blows.

  22. Just watched the lamper dvd's, cold wind blows ect, very good. I liked the whippet x bull in their, cleo, good strike ect, just wonderd who bred her, would anyone know? Is their any more of her breeding around still? Cheers.
