I have had two get killed in piles ..both could kill foxes in minutes... An before folk say out I worked them single handed.. They hit them hard when the found an those that dident bolt payed the the price... But I have found terriers that work in that stile dont reach old adge .. Spent 6 days digging through rocks hammer an bar all the way down to find the bitch dead next to dead fox..an that bitch could kill em ... Other dog was her daughter an exallent rock dog she to killed every fox that dident bolt same stile of work but she to was killed... Over the years seen the same happen to the sam

Just gotta be careful this days who your talking to.. You just dont no who they are.. U got folk pretending to be hunting lads but they get as much in fo on u as they can an f**k you over.. Or they end up being dog thieves an take your stock...is it worth advertising what you have or is it best just to get on with what your doing an keep your own council...

I have always worked dogs single handed myself but alot of the lads round me always worked two or three terriers in rocks or pit holes.

Jake824 it's different dogs for different ground.. when you work the quarrys you don't want a mute dog on the piles as you carnt here out, an you carnt dig most of the place . But some folk on here will slag each other off especially when they no nothing of the ground others hunt.. Must be a pleasure to have nothing but soil earths to dig ..as some folk arnt that lucky .. You have to work your dogs whichever suites the ground you work..

My old man in his younger days regularly hunted 2 or 3 terriers off the lead as he hunted quarrys an rockpiles ...he new as the dogs picked up a gear that ther was a fox to ground and try an get up to the dogs an chain them up .... But not always could archive to catch one so two or 3 dogs could be in but at the time it dident bother him as he could shout the dogs out at eny old time...thing os he had no one there to tell him how to do it ... It was all trail an error.. Till you learn better
