Got a call from a worried farmer asking us to go down and run the dogs through a few strips and check a few holes due to him losing about 20 lambs this week and his usual gunmen not being able to pick them up on the lamp.The first strip we pushed a dog fox from a patch of windblown,he was shot exiting the wood. Second strip held nowt.Third strip we found an old kicked out rabbit bury and got a strong mark from the dogs,including my mates spaniel.We entered my mates black bitch and dug to her at three foot,lifted her out and shot the fox as it peeped out,we let the terrier pull it from the hole

My copy arrived today,only had a quick thumb through it and i'm looking forward to reading it,looks a good un.Send for it i say,you won't be dissapointed.

We were out pushing a few bits through for a small pheasant shoot yesterday,we'd pushed 3 bits and seen everything except a fox,then the weather closed in,we only had one bit to do so decided to carry on,the guns got into position and the dogs were put in,they opened up pretty quick and a fox broke cover,3 shots fired and back in he went,the lurcherman hit me on the radio telling me he'd seen it again on the edge of the gorse then it was seen running full pelt away with no one near it,due to one of the guns shifting position All the dogs bar one black terrier showed so we switched off there b

Kreet enough is enough...you've got both this dog and your whippet advertised in the ad trader this week and it aint the first time your whippets been in is it? You are just aquiring dogs from somewhere and punting them on at profit,you got a staffy pup in the paper free to good home and advertised it on here asking money for it...you're a peddler and should be kicked from here.Your stories change like the wind,in the ad trader advert for this deerhound you claim you're moving abroad hence you're parting with her.I feel sorry for all the dogs in your care and for all the ones that are yet to p

Fair enough,i know i'm probably alone with my views but i needed my say and feel better for it.Each his own i suppose.To me one deep dig looks like another and i don't feel the need to show everyone i can use a spade when i get digs but as i said before each his own.Cheers.

I aint asking to see pics of dogs latched on or foxes peering out,all i'm saying is if people put pics on of folk standing in digs or empty digs its asking for trouble because people we don't want on here get on these sites.I'd rather not see pics than see those type.Don't tell me,i shouldn't look then,yeh yeh!

use your brain mate...he hasn't put pics of the quarry up for obvious reasons... good going dev and good pics... Me use my brains????? The dark side aint daft,they know whats going on.I personally don't see the point of putting pics of digs on with nowt in the bottom of them.

Great day,don't you just love ratting! What camera do you use? By the way that rough lurcher of mine you asked about in my ratting post is beddy/greyxbeddy/whippet. Oh and you want to get yourself a decent roundmouth spade for what you do.
