Had a days ratting planned for a while and was looking forward to it only to be phoned at the weekend by the farmer to say he couldn't get a digger to pull the sheds back so we'd have to wait...he phoned today at 11a.m saying he'd organised something and could we make it down,only two of us could make it at short notice with seven dogs we got from 12 till half three....443 rats.The terriers and spaniel had been put away by the time we done the end of day shot because we'd had a look down the back with the lurchers and got a ermine stoat and a rabbit.It was a hectic but enjoyable afternoon.

Was out today even though it was pissing it down,never stopped from the minute we got out the motor until we got back in.We thought we'd find to ground today but tried 6 good pipes on this particular piece of ground but nowt in any of them,eventually found this fox in a strip of gorse,he was bone dry when he came through to me but that didn't last long once he was shot and the lurchers retrieved him.God knows what weather conditions we need to put them to ground these days.

Double dog run for sale,consists of 3x8ft by 5 1/2ft galvanised sections and a double gate split 60/40.I also have four walls of an 8ftx6ft shed(needs floor) and roofing sheets to cover the shed and run,they are anti condensation coated on the inside to stop dripping.Central Scotland £250

Oh there safe from me.I can see the satisfaction in snaring the scaly tails but couldn't set out to do it and leave the dogs in the kennel,different if the place don't suit dogs though.But Teejays bit looks ideal for the mutts. I didn't really have time,i was working,i'll make a point of popping over though Glen.Cheers.

She catches a few but not as many as the terriers.She's handy for picking them all so there all there for the eod pic.

Went ratting today to a place we had been at about 2 mths back.Small wood with pheasant feeders in,ground was solid due to frost but we managed 40 with digging and smoking.Not the biggest day but enjoyable all the same.
