A little help for a firearm newbi
rossy08 replied to rossy08's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Well said that man danw! Rossy looking at the pic there's gonna be a lot of longer shots, mmmm which would I choose?????? I wonder Ask yourself this. How many people have had a .22 and then varied the fac for a .17? Answer absolutely loads Now how many have gone and varied the .17 for a .22? No where near the same number Im afraid. A .17 does have a crack when you fire but a good mod does do a lot to reduce this and if those lamp shy rabbits are a problem the .17 is ready for a nv add on. I missed a fox with my .22 last night with the nv at just about 100yrds it looked like an elephan -
yes its a pain ant it. iv been working playing with air guns for years, but no little to nothing about fire arm cal's. i'm not looking for anything to big, as i just want to have grater range for the bunnies (100yard ish) and something for the odd fox. i'm being stroungly pointed to the .22lr by the advice im getting, the .17hmr is just souding to be to loud. but going to shoot a few and have a listen for my self. are you appliying for the SGC to? atb Andy

cheers for the pm steve. yes im not going to be flush with cash either, altho that may be a good thing. i,m going for the fire arms more than the air arms this time tho. mind you last time i went to a show it ended up with me falling in love with the aa superlights, witch i later ended up getting. regarding the sat/sun bargins, gringo told me that he went on the sunday last year, and every time he asked about something it was "we had some yesterday but they all sold due to "show price". suppliers only take so much stock an when its gone its gone. but it could go either w

aas410 vs rapid 7 vs hw100
rossy08 replied to tattey's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
OH NO !! Why are you sick of it , and why do you want a new one ? What was the reason you brought it in the first place ? Just remember this , a Gat Gun , or a Walther Dommie will make no difference to your shooting . After all a rifle is only as good as the bloke on the wooden end Buster Air Arms S410k BTAS Air Arms MPR FT Both .177 Well said that man!! However I'd say HW all the way.... those that say its too heavy need to grow a set of arms Darryl i do try mate, but as they say, you cant put weight on a thourgh bread.. -
as above really. how many of us from hear are going, seen on a few post that people are going just wonderd how many of you handsom lot i'm going to bump into? think i'll be there on the sunday, with gringo, basejumper, and a few others that dont use the site. Andy

well done that judge, i wouldent be beeting any scum bag with my rifle, its not fair to the gun, any silly scum that stupid enought to get me out of bed will meet the fat end of the nunchucks, they would have trouble calling the police then, as there lower jaw would be embedded in one of my walls. feck'in hate theifin scum bags. A little help for a firearm newbi
rossy08 replied to rossy08's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
i must confess that im favoring the .22 due to the noise issue, some of my land just wont cattor for a loud rifle. i need more range than what the air rifles are offering as alot of the bunnies are getting very wise to me now, the main land for which the gun will be used are huge open feilds with very little in the way of cover, the only cover in some is the crops that are growing. and i dont think that the farmer will like the idea of me dragging my self through curshing what i'm there to protect. ill give you an idea of how the land looks at the min. and in summer . th -

mate calm your sen down. trying to do you a favour hear and offer a word of advice. were not bringing it up AGAIN, when you have a 20 odd page thread with 80people from loads of different sites slating you its going to stick in peoples minds, can you see that, every time you name comes up on a thread now and for a while people are going to think of that. now fair play to you for sticking around and carring on,can't fault you for that takes a man to do things of that nature. but you could have conducted your self so much better on that thread and deal, its my opinion and i'm so

cant say i'm daystates biggest fan, so over priced for what they are, and despite the price tag still suffer from silly comen faults that guns half there price dont. where's this price come from, are they better made, more accuret than guns half there price, no are they feck. paying for the name. but thats just my opinion Andy
