    Well said DD, yet even with the best of breeding and proper rearing in the right hands, a fair amount don't make the grade even at that. shite get the right breeding bring it on right and you have decent dogs to many shite about and people breed of them thats what fxxxs the terrier game and lads buy shite only themselves to blame

    2 hour? .. Not always that straight forward is it..sometimes we dig a place we haven't dug before.. Personally I'd be gutted to dig for 2 hours and nearly complete the job only for the terrier to walk out on the 2 hour mark.. it would not walk out again,a good terrier should stay till ya reach him no matter how long

    i usually let my dogs feel a few sharp teeth around 14 months like yesterday young dog felt the sharp end in a ,nice easy place got a few scrapes but will now be held for a few digs let him watch again and will be tried another 3 times before the end of march will then rest the summer ready for next season where he will be out most times unless healing or resting but still will be kept fit,fitness is another big thing in this game seen dogs jack because not fit enough to stand till deep digs but thats another subject

    no direspect to anyone but to many idiots in the game like mole said seen many a well bred dog ruined, give many a lad some good advise to them totally ignore it and fucx there line up,dont get to eager you get a young well bred dog time effeort and he will do you proud,you rush let your ego get the better of you dog will end up in the ground or passed about and you looking for another pup and you calling the breeder worse than shit

    no think the breeding needs to be there,some dogs will go well before others,my old dog was the last of the litter to work he is the only surviving dog of that litter now,need to bring the dogs on right,right earth for right dog at right time then progress from there

    there is times dogs need to be pts but not has pups i breed when im ready to develop the stock,no way would i cull a pup i might be relentless in the field and many a lad seen what becomes of there dogs that are shite while out,but eveyone to there own we will never agree think this as run its course as some will agree and some will disagree

    Sounds like a good day there taz you must be chuffed getting the young dog started its was only a shallow one 3ft and we had it out within 30 mins after leaving him for 20 mins but a positive start

    well wezza took the young guns today dug one with the chocolate dog the brother to yours,missed a nice dog fox with old bitch entered here after she gave me a good mark and whilst i was netting up it bolted you learn by your mistakes before anyone jumps on me,then we tried a mates dog in some bales charlie was quick out but left to run another day,ended up on a hedge where another was dug so not a bad day mate made up we dug one with the young dog quick and easy

    Bollox every word mate.Why would i want pups about that are surplus .The expresson surplus is one that is lost on those who cull nothing and sell .Worlds apart pal. cant see the point in killing decent dogs end of discussion especially when decent lads and they are that got the pups are not so fortunate as lads who have good dogs round them ebnd of discussion whatever totally of the topic now
