After having to re stock with new hens after the fox came,out of 14 hens i was getting about 3 eggs a day, well i caught this tuesday night in the rat trap i guess this chap must of been taking some eggs as today i got 7 eggs

From left to right... Eeny, Meeny, Miiny and POP! Mo! The other three will come back to Mo's funeral where you can handily pop off at least two of them i wish it was as easy as that i can shoot from the back bedroom window thats where the pic was taken from but they are very clever even if the windows open and i am not there they know somethings up,lately i was watched them hopping all round the larsen tarp even walking up to it and them thinking that they look nice eggs in trap but hey we wont bother with that, thats a trap

yes ditch it is open top run ,i will take your advice ditch but i would think they are pretty use to the trap its been sitting next to the henrun over the winter i have some hen eggs in just now in a sort of nest same as yours in your picture will keep you posted on how it comes along This pic was taken last year while we were building the hen run

well ditch after chatting to you in the chat last night i got my finger out my arse today and sorted my trap there were 8 magpies sitting in the chicken run this morning so its fingers crossed
