  1. Can picture it now, 'magoo does the dunes', proudly sporting his froggo wellies, just in case of a sudden fog, clambering, and swealtering up, and slithering down said dunes, with a saluki in tow, held by a gold embossed piece of baling cord, and magoo thinking 'why didn't I wear me fukin jesus creepers?! ?
  2. Well, I don't know about you, but I find it helpful at times, when fellas on here put up some posts that make sense to me, that are also interesting and historically pretty accurate. ?. Oh yeah, it also helps that charts puts what he writes in an easy to understand manner, and with a little humour lol. ?
  3. Yep, I'll agree there, some of the smaller sized hares my dogs have caught were very hard to catch. And again, those galgos coursing in spain, very impressive, far more so than the salukis.
  4. That's quite possible, tomo. But the british 'european brown hare' is far larger than a lot of those middle east etc hares.
  5. Same here mate, I certainly don't need a dog that can run for 5 miles at 40 mph after a 'dropped' gazelle, that it DOESN'T catch, or a dog with a 'head like a buffalo, for 'teeth', whatever the f**k they are?! ??
  6. Easily, ask magoo. His dogs are absolute superstars. Wowser? Kin el katch, that's almost as camp as mushroom's 'ouchy'!! ??
  7. And again, like I said earlier, that goes back to what I said before, about british bred, successful coursing dogs being better than the c o o dogs.
  8. They the fastest antelope/deer/gazelle in the world, even though they're more closely related to girraffe. Lol, I'm getting the hang of this google nonsense lol. ?
  9. I agree with that, apart from the dogs being impressive lol. Says something really, when they are breeding some of their c o o salukis to british born coursing breds and greyhounds, or is that just a rumour I read?
  10. I get that, but those dogs are obviously naturally acclimatised to those temperatures. Not looking to argue with anyone, but those dogs were far from impressive.
  11. Well, those couple of clips rio just put up don't exactly paint those dogs in glory. A dozen dogs, and a jeep, and they still didn't catch it. Yep, another level, crap level.
  12. Ok, well this sort of goes back to what I said on here a few years ago. I said that the british bred salukis, the successful coursing dogs, would surely be better coursing dogs than c o o salukis, as the european brown hare is bigger, stronger and more athletic, so therefor correspondingly harder to catch, than the hares that are native to the countries that the saluki is from.
  13. What you mean by 'restrictions', magoo? No punnery or 'witless' banter, am genuinely interested. ?
  14. Very nice mate. Spitting image of a bitch I owned, 30 odd years ago. Deer/grey x beddy/grey dam, deer/grey x norfolk type sire.
  15. Ah right, certainly is a nice, strong bitch. ?
  16. I thought you already have one, or is it not 50% gwp 50% grey?
  17. What's that mate? ? By the way, yep, those galgos do look to be pretty robust.
