    I know others will disagree, but my old dog was 100% with sheep, lambs, cattle etc, until I started him on deer. Then I had to be doubly on top of him afterwoods. Was real hard work. Forgot to say, a couple of years later, I had a similar experience with another similarly bred dog I had.

    ? lol ? Well, for me I think a deer/collie/grey or deer/whippet/grey, or a mix of both, would suit me. I like the nature etc of these types/crosses. I just seem to get on better with them. May I be so bold as to enquire what your thoughts are on type/cross of dog you prefer, Magoo? ? ? ?

    I couldn't keep up with you, Magoo. My days and nights of walking several miles across country, are long behind me. And I couldn't justify buying a new pair of froggo wellies, to try to make things are bit more 'even' for us! ? ?

    Magoo, you do realise that I've owned and worked twice as many lurchers than I have whippets? Or is that particular jibe aimed at other whippet enthusiasts apart from me? Sometimes a person, for umpteen different 'possible' reasons, will have to kill 'pests' during summer/breeding season.

    Lol this is partly what I meant in a couple of earlier posts. He blathers on and on about whippet/greyhounds, then goes on a completely different tangent and puts pics of deer/greys up, and bangs on about those, and saluki crosses! Summer madness! Affects us all to differing degrees I suppose lol.
