  2. Mu auntie got me to check one of her Hens today.....its not eating great, very thin and not wanting to venture out the coop. I went and had a look but chooks not being my thing i dont know any signs of illness in them and apart from me saying "chap it on the head" (which she is very reluctant to do) i thought id ask on here for any advice to pass on. Its a little unsteady on its legs and razor thin but its quite bright eyed and not looking on its last legs???? Any help with medicines or tips that i can pass on will be much appreciated...............
  3. Not suprised...its an immature cock bird ffs!! Shooting fish in a barrel springs to mind!!.............Lovely photography though.

  11. tell you what then mate go tell the keeper you've been catching pheasants all around the shoot... Not on it but just around it... See how welcome you are then..... Lol Lab, you've either misunderstood me or misread me ! My nearest shoot is 20 mile away !! My dogs peg the odd one around the doors, no where near a shoot. They, and I, are well behaved on the shoots, that's why we are welcome !! Cheers. To be fair mate it's a subject that really bothers me. And on here I realise your not an idiot with a dog( like some here) and I'm sure your a respectful kind of guy. Also I've state

  17. A first years Hen pheasant at a guess............... But its bound to be atleast 18-20 weeks and that would be a late hatch. Kenny has already said there very small and he has also said that there was another very near by....another thing that a Spar wouldn't do? Maybe theres a cat going about....
  18. Brilliant.................how many birds you putting down compared to your catch rate??????...... FFS lab how many birds get shot after the season finishes as they are surplus to requirements?? fur, feather or fin is all fair game to a poacher mate and if you dont like it, then dont come in the lurcher section :whistling: f**k off............you know nothing about Spars and were very near the middle of the season aren't we???? I shall visit here whenever i feel like it......ok!!........
  19. As i've already said to Kenny he must be the unluckiest keeper alive as there not many Spars' that take poults after the 12 week stage........ bollocks lab mate if a bird is finding prey handed out on a plate it will do its best to adapt to it!! it might not take them easy BUT it will take them when needed You two at it again lol when are you lads coming for this rough day then?? Sometime in Jan would be great mate, your the boss.. .....................it depends when numbnuts is back from Sweden i suppose.............
