That was yesterday.....mu usual plumber is in Cardiff on a stag and i'm f****d if i'm paying for someone to rape me blind for probably a half hour job. She'll just have to grin and bear it. I might just get drunk.....

Only thing i have before the pipe reaches my boiler is a small cone shaped thing. It has a small copper pipe coming out the top of it going to the boiler as well. Says "Fire Valve" on it.............

Brilliant info I did try my cheap one but it wouldn't work, tried filling it with the tap first then into the barrel, would that have primed it enough or would it have to be the way you described please? Your cheap one will work Moll. What you do is take the end of where it connects to your washer and get someone to put there finger over the hose. Then you go to the other end and fill the hose length up with water. Once its full plonk that end back into the water and tell whoever is holding it at the washer end to let there finger off. We use that system here Moll. We have an IBC (1000litre tank) raised off the ground with a barrel connector fitted to the front of it. Then gravity takes it too the washer.

I've taken through about half a litre of oil, i'm stinking of the f*****g stuff and its still cutting out. Getting angry now.....should i try booting the thing....

I've taken that one off to mate but i took it right off from the bottom. Do i slacken the middle with the alan key then instead? Do i start it up until it fires up while its still loose?

Ive never said its a waste of space.....maybe ive said its heavy but it is. You see the grief labs get on here without showing an out of shape one trying to keep up with your lurcher. Anyway i'm not going to argue with you, i said i wouldn't and i'll stick to that.

Right heres the pic..........You can clearly see the oil in pipe and just where the flexi pipe ends theres a bolt underneath that i have been bleeding. Is that the wrong one mate?

Right i'm just guessing here so bear with me. Theres a copper pipe that comes into a small square sort of box. It has what i would say looks like a bleed bolt. Plenty oil getting to there but obvioulsy not getting to the correct bit?

change the filter bleed it and try again good luck Filter? Where would i find that mate?....
