Can’t beat a set of vapour blasted cases when assembling an engine just makes the process so much nicer and more enjoyable. Looks good mc I made my own vapour blaster as I didn’t fancy paying about 7k for one I used a eBay special 220l sandblast cabinet and a submersible pump in a plasterers bucket probably cost me about £500 all in to build it and can get the same results as a professional built one. Gunner be starting to put my yz project back together this weekend as I’m due to collect the frame back from the powder coaters on Friday night the Yamaha blue frame colour is a pig to match in

Fair play wilf love little projects like this gives a good sense of achievement once finished looking forward to seeing the progress. If I was ever a single man again id not have a conventional home it’s a con job with rents or mortgage prices I’d probably live on the roads or buy a boat. I see a lot of young couples were there relationships have gone south it all stems back to lack of money due to having all there money tied up in paying mortgages or over priced rents that they can’t do anything bar sit in there 4 walls

I’d love a bigger engine bike but I’d think a sport bike id kill my self plus there not really my cuppa t I like the idea of if I get bored I could just go off road I’ve gotta do my bike test at some point I like the 2 stroke stuff I like the ktm 300 and the beta 300 rr but like restoring bikes if I did have a sport type bike I’d definitely want a 80s bike like a rd350 lc my old man had one when I was a kid my mum made him sell it he still says worst thing he ever did I do fancy restoring one but there pretty strong money

Cheers mate oem frame colour was Matt silver it looks pretty boring when a lot of the parts on these bikes are aluminium and silver in colour there’s no brake up of colour to distinguish the difference in parts that make up the bike I went with gloss gun metal grey

I’ve still been chipping away with the kx project got it finished about half hour ago fitting the graphics kit I’m over the moon with it it’s turned out mint(I’ll up load some pics tomorrow evening). Been also learning how to restore an zinc plate nuts an bolts (garage is like a meth lab cooking up like Walter white lol) for the little yz 125 project it was meant to be a budget build but that’s going to go completely out the window it’ll end up as good as a new bike

Passats are normally pretty good cars I had a 05 Passat high line really nice to drive motor i only got it as a second car because it was cheap I had it for a couple of years an sold it at a profit only reason I sold it was because the insurance quotes I got for the Passat was nearly twice as much as the s3 to insure

Good story mate I love my Audis an vag group cars only thing I don’t like is the premium you have to pay for parts or maintenance on them at dealerships ita rip off! Ive got a little s3 black addition 8p2 model I’m a ex mechanic my self the dealership wanted to charge me £1100 to supply an fit rear discs an pads I nearly had heart attack when they quoted me I didn’t go with them in the end I went to a side street garage oem parts £650 all in supplied an fitted

Engine I’ve recently done for the little yz125 project I’ve started this bike is going to be kept standard just a restoration build
-
Still plodding on with the little kx 125 race type build I’ve been doing.this thing’s turning out a really tricked up bike just waiting for the graphics kit to turn up then its fluids in and time to spark her up although I’ve really enjoyed building this bike my wallet hasn’t! But the light is at the end of the tunnel now
