All depends on the dog my old nuttall bitch didnt work rat till she was 9 mounth old my old gould bitch was marking & killing them at 5 mounth plenty of time for him /her yet mate

Not to sure now he did right it down for me cant remeber. When i went to kens in sept 1994 he had 3 dogs left a pup 10 months old that someone was comin to pick up. Spartacus who he said was a good diggin dog and the bitch was a ruff coated but lost most of its hair while rearing the pups he said kills foxs stone dead. Maybe someone will know on here what bitch it was ?

I had a top bitch of ken direct out of the last litter he bred out of spartacus was hard as nails at the start soon learned how to kill foxs in no time

i heard this thing time and time again seems a lot of kennels followed this fashion and imo did a lot of harm to the breed by giving up on them.pitts are good dogs but SBT for me always has been and always will be So did i and none of it was true.I always considered a WELL bred staff a more game dog for all jobs. a good dog is a good dog no matter whats behind it, what lines, dogs do you consider are the best ones?or produce the best well bred ones? I always worked and bred cuilleog and C F dogs and found them game to a fault at everything. i only know what i have read

You dont get chance to do much else when in racing season i raced young birds last year 1st time i raced for 6 years they had to take a back seat for a bit
