  1. You must live somewhere very special with pheasants that live underground??!!
  2. If you found flies on it I would not risk it. As even putting it in the the fridge will not kill any fly eggs. Even though you did not see any I would not risk it.
  3. Jills ususally in seaon between March and September.
  4. A light tap on the nose and a LOUD NO every time he goes to nip you and loads of fuss and praise when he doesn't he will soon learn
  5. Jamie Really like the look of your new hob. Might have a girlfriend for him next spring.
  6. I have made a few nets recently. I use hemp as I find nylon very tough on the fingers as I was told to double knot it, so it does not slip. Keep practicing you'll soon get the hang of. I can now make a net and watch telly (who says men can't multi task!!!)
  7. If you look in Countryman Weekly or another magazine ad look for the KP&S Nets. They have all you need at reasonable cost
  8. Go to your vet and they will have a plastic tick remover....doesn't look much but they really do work, they a v shape which you put around the tick and twist anti clock wise a couple of time and the tick come out without leaving the mouth parts behind which can cause ifection. I would also change all the bedding as they are probaly in it. They only cost £2.00 or £3.00 pounds. And you will have a tick solution for ever. Hope this helps.
  9. CarraghsGem Once they have been castrated and their hormones have settled down they will live happily together.
  10. Jamie My vasecomised hob is back in the court now. So try him a see what happens.
  11. How about some sound advice and not just taking the ****. To answer your question, the jill come out of season as the hours of daylight are decreasing this will start to happen any time now. This is called photperodism. HOPE THIS HELPS.
  12. Look just take ******* thing to the vet and get it treated or it will die long and slow death.
  13. I would say that you should wait until December. As this will allow him to stop growing and will give him time to become "safe" to use on your jill next spring.

  15. I use Goldline. That is £19.99 for 15KG. That is down here in kent.
  16. What lovely kits!! I would like to own something like that.
  17. If you want to make your own nets then I think hemp is best to start with. It is not so hard on your fingers as spun nylon which has to be double knotted......Just my opinion
  18. I hope everthing is going well. She is a bit old for having kits though>
  19. They are just being young ferrets. Just full of life and glad to be alive!!!!

  22. This article even published all those years ago, should makes us even more determined to carry on. It also shows that we must do EVERYTHING we can to make sure we carry out our sport in the most humane way possible. KEEP ON FERRETING AND HUNTING AND FISHING AND SHOOTING. WE must not let the antis win!!!!!!!!!!!!
