    i found some rabbit holes just before xmas on a small strip of waste land behind my house so had a little go with the ferrets this afternoon,baged two very fat(and i mean fat) healthy rabbits,you would think with all the snow we have had they would be a lot skinnier but thats not the case not bad for 10 mins out

    i havent long started and like you i was taking my 5and 6 year old sons,it took us 4 trips to get a bolt but when we did the look on there faces was worth all them blanks,like what ppl have said stick at it,it will be one of them memory's that will stick with you and him forever

    i use bowls to Not knocking your choice of water receptical, but my fezzers arsehole bowls over, or fill them full of shavings and what ever else they happen to kick around use a brick,the type with the dent in it dont hold alot but they cant kick it over

    i use steel tent pegs i cant even get steel pegs in iv been draging branches to the holes and raping the cord around them

    same today aswell 2 bolts 3 digs(1 was 5ft) and 1 i couldn't pick up on the finder and had to wait for the ferret to show,this i only the 2nd time iv had to dig(i only started ferreting this season)the hardest day ferreting iv had yet

    i baged 5 on saturday,only one bolted the other 4 the ferts got at the entrances to the burrows and i had to pull then out its like the choose death over cold feet
