the mk1 only works to a depth of 8ft... its the mk3 that works to a depth of 15ft, but how ever if u have a mk3 collor and a mk1 locator u will be able to locate ur ferret upto 15ft ... but if u have a mk3 locator and a mk1 collor u wouldnt find it at all... hope this helps

welcome lad ... dam dont sound good, sounds like you need to be faceing ur hut away from the rain or get a cover for the frunt to stop so much water getting in ... im going to put some lino down on the floor and up the walls on my new hut to help stop this happening/make it easyer to clean out ... hope u get something sorted asap if needed.

1) there is no rabbiting season they are classed as vermin ... some people stop hunting them when its breadin season so to keep a healthy population sp? for the end of the year ...
2) warrens tend to be near eatchother so youl find say a 5holer then a 3holer not far from eatchother ...
3) if the land is owned by anyone then YES you should get permision first ... all land is ownd there for you if you dont get permision then u are poaching ... altho road side and most open areas you can get away with it ... just watch ur back lol ...
heres mine, its not a self build but its a good hutch/run for the fuzzies ... and will do them till I get my garden sorted and make them a bigger place to hang out ...
some great builds you all have

she obversily knows more than some, seens its so easy to tell whats going on with ur ferrets sexual apertight if u do ur daily checks properly and every day.
why take out one of the hutches? id leave it in there even when u have had ur hob done, that way they have a chose of where they want to sleep and be, plus if u need to seperate them again its already in there, really should be one hide box per ferret, but its not really necessery. looks like a good set up and some healthy good looking fuzzies
mine sleep in the nest box, its going to be cold on the ground when I get the concrete pad down, try makeing ur self a rain cover out of two shower curtians and buggy rain cover cost about 5quid cheaper than buying one pre made thats what iv opted for. shame I cant think of an idear for the Crap corner its a pain bendin right down and under, but worth it.
yeah the little cow bags go under the house bit its a pain but still worth buying lol ...... like said it is the weld mesh type ot chicken wire on it so no escapes ......
