instead of booking him in for the castration if u aint planning on breeding him, book him in for a vesectamy, that way he will still do the busyness with the jill and bring her out of season, where as if he was castrated ud still have to get the jill jab or breed her. sorry to hear bowt the little guy thats gone to hunt in the sky ATB Danny

yes mate to take a jill out of season they have the Vesectamised!!! sounds like a dash to the vets for jill jabs or a quicky for a hob thats been done!!!

we meshed the top shelf off so they cant jump from that hight, and made a little trap door thing to it so he can put treats up there plus clean if needs be.

been and played about with my mates ferret hut too, he as/had two hobs together, one went missing yesterday unfortantly. heres a pic of his.

and more lol sorry bowt this.... still think i could do more with this smallish space and thinking of putting maybe anouther peice of tube round the bottom for the to run round in, think it will do tho as they dont always stay in their hut and play in the garden loads!!!

just been down the locol builders merchents and brought a 25m length of this stuff to place around my ferret huts, willing to sell all not needed at £2 a foot, will have about 50-60ft over. pick up only cleckheaton west yorkshire!!! cant wait to get this stuff put around the place for my fuzzies to use woop woop

well just bought my self a 25m length of 4in land drainege pipe to use in my ferret huts, im useing about 20ft of it so will have about 60ft left over, selling at £2 a foot pick up only. im cleckheaton west yorkshire!!!

at the moment i am a ferret man, but im thinking of getting a pooch in the future to flush, point, mark up burras and maybe a bit of ratting too. iv been looking threw the terrier section and like the look of the lakie n the boarder terrier, can anyone tell me if terriers can be flushes and pointers or are they just earth dogs. im only after a small dog and they both fit the bill. thnx for any info ATB Danny

dose it really matter what colour pops out, aslong as they all turn out healthy and into good workers and u have good homes ready for them.

to keep mine fit dureing the off season, i just make sure theres plenty of room with plenty of pipes and tubes for them to run around in, also feeding them on diffrent levels with only climbing or pipes to get there dose this, and keep on interacting with them and handleing them. as you said from now till september/oct is not really any good for ferreting, as there will be too meny lay ups and ul be digging loads. glad you and your fam are enjoying and hope u have a good time with ur new found friend ATB Danny

good to see someone doing their homework beffore going out and getting one, if you have a look at the top of the ferret forum you will find a sticky called Frequently Asked Questions and Answers, take a nosey around there and see if that can help you out for kit you will need/want. First thing you want to be buying your self tho is some food and ferrtone and a cpl of drinking bottles (witch u will/should alrady know tho lol), then a locator and a cpl of spare collors (dependendin on how meny ferrts u get) that way when u get them u can pop the collor on them to get used to having around thei
