did'nt like to tell the kid that just thought once he was in he would'nt think about money,just nice to be amongst the hounds at a personal level. frightening for a kid(or anyone if the truth be told) at first being in a run with 20 couples but the rewards soon allay any fears.(personal opinion)

maybe offering to help out for free may get you in, then work your trust, plenty to do with the hounds before and after a hunt(especially after).good luck whatever you do.

cheers lads and lasses i'll be picking a bulb up monday morning.

any lads got an idea if an infra red bulb will help her out if she whelps if its freezing. her kennel is outside but undercover had plenty of pups before but never had to worry about freezing weather she's got a good size box and i've halfed it wi th a plank to keep them in the back and plenty of beddin but its in me head now that she may need some help. tough as fck beagles but feeling a bit paternal.?

There used to be an old man from the same place as me that was irish mile record holder once upon a time (Tom welsh was his name,ran 4.11 barefoot when the world record was 4.08) .His only training was trying to stay up with a pair of kerry beagles . i can believe that i work 4 ages one to four brought first one on with terriers to bush then added one each year learning of each other 4 at 11 months old with no experience would be a nightmare in my opinion glad he's knocked that idea on the head.

i think you might mean bedlington hound lad,it would be a bedlington terrier/greyhound cross.a lurcher. Would that cross be called a belton hound though? Because the fella thats selling it is calling the dog a belton hound. i thought he meant the color was belton but he has said its the breed of dog. Thanks anyway mate, may ask him for a photo of it! if the colour you mean is a bit like the mottle on a german shorthaired pointer i would agree with that.

i work 4 beagles and love ya comment on being stubborn to anyone but the the owner. i'm the owner and whip SNAP!!. (in front of the lads they love to play up)

i've owned both. fenman is well gone but i still own the tx 16 yrs later deffo the air arms.

i reckon 1 on its own will be spot on for bushing to a lurcher but as others have said stick 2 or more together and they'll be off on a scent before you know they've gone(i run 4 of them)lovely to watch and hear speaking but can be a nightmare.but maybe thats my fault but i'll keep trying..all the best with whatever you do.
