  4. when was you going up there ?....i went up there a lot from 87 -91 for couple of weeks at time, they did take the smaller scottish stag and i seen them take them in day time too. Whats is a small scottish stag ?do you mean a young one ? No he mean's a small highland stag as they are smaller and lighter than the lowland stag's of england i always thought the stags in the highlands would of been bigger than the one down south learn something new every day atb Nope they average upto 100lb's lighter than the lowland red's of england

Whats is a small scottish stag ?do you mean a young one ? no mean they not as big as down south ...i know thier bigger on west coast then highlands .... i would find it hard to believe a dog taking a good highland stag unless there was about half a dozen of them on it and it would still be a hard job for them atb Half a dozen

  19. I find them no different from any other hound if there left to hunt and waffle on other quarry so i would say it was how they were entered,we hunt a pack of beagle's and beagle/basset's and a couple are from a hare only and a couple from fox only pack's.i dont hunt fox only no more and hunt anything with them and the draght hound's that were fox and hare only took a while to get on what else we were hunting and did stay true and ignore other scent's for a few week's hedz it was for sure there entering, the ones i talk of were hunted like you said on anything,so never quite took to fox only,bu

    fox cubs

Well bill i look at it this way is digging them for pest control as bad as the lurcher man that run's young foxes in late august through september for pest control if they are causing a problem or maybe for schooling young lurcher's new to the foxing game or would that come under being an unfortunate evil that must be carried out they are all part and parcel of hunting the fox always have been alway's will but i still feel it's a topic better of left alone and useing the word's little baby fox cub's on an open forum only fuel's fire etc in my opinion mate
