Dont judge people by your own actions people that lie presume every one else lies also. Some say it because its true, obviously you presume every one full of st*t you can work the rest out .

If your doing rabbits you can,t beat a Whippet easy to train cheap to feed can curl up in a cat basket and easy to keep clean.

Right, first we're talking dogs not people so an example using a totally different species is a wee bit pointless, there are plenty of small things that can kill big things, i accept that. In this case though we're talking a dog and fox, which when it comes to being two different species they are actually in build and 'weaponry' etc are actually fairly evenly matched. Now the question was not, could a spoon fed, house whippet who is pampered by and old lady, kill a fox? It was could a whippet kill one? Now i'd say probably not to the example you use, the same with a molly coddl

Get him in some water inbetween runs if you can cool him off if you cannot get him in water take a bottle with you and tip it on him it will have the same effect as him sweating.

He will get better with time get a sitter well out get between the rabbit and its home get as close as you can ,Alternatly get a sitter get someone else to slip him and shoot the rabbit with an air rifle and as it jumps on being shot slip him do this a few times and he will do the rest.Once he,s had one in his mouth there will be no stopping him.

My grandad had a Whippet that made it to 21 ,he had it pts when it started losing blood in its stools but it was a fantastic little bitch caught its last hare at 10 and its last rabbit at 15,I think keeping them fit and at the right weight pro longs their life.

Dont you just hate these feckin wasters I,v just got a whippet bitch back from someone they bugged me for months wanting a dog from me then after the first season was over and I stopped takeing him out it became a problem dog .It realy boils my piss .I bred to replace a bitch I lost then he turns up with a bitch. This time I,m not selling any I,ll give to people I trust on the condition they come back if they dont want them.Rant over.

Close your eyes put out your hand and pick one up thats the best dog of the bunch.Until they get to an age where they are running there is no way you can tell which dog will be the better one I,v had dogs at a year old and made a mental note of which one I like then at 15 months have had to change my mind, depending on the breed of dog a lot can change from 8 to 18 months and colour isnt usually the determining factor. It is impossible to choose the best dog in the litter at a week old its just luck if they are from good dogs the chances are better of getting a good pup but nothing is certain.

Haha, thanks gaz mate, i want them both 2 stay intact if you get my drift especially the bitch! when i spoke to mum out the vets she was completly okay with the idea of keeping her intact and if i find out away to keep the dogs seperate then he can keep his bollocks aswell! If you have to you can get the dog injected when the bitch comes in and he wont be interested in her .After a couple of months he will be back to normal. I guess you're talking about Supralorin: chemical, temporary castration for dogs. It is quite expensive: I was told about £40 a jab, which lasts about 6 months

If you get a smooth coated dog and keep it outside make sure its kept in a draught proof kennel, shed and off the floor they dont do well if they spend all their time trying to keep themselves warm and tend to have stiff joints at an earlier age if kept in cold damp conditions.I look at it from the point of veiw would you like to sleep in the dogs shed if you find it cold and damp so will they. There,s no shame in makeing your dog warm and comfortable.

Do you have a dog that could kill that many after snow????Or do the ones that are doing the crabbing have a dog that has killed has many as that dog last year???? Everyone always goes on about the stud fee but people go pay £300 £400 for a pup at 8 weeks. where have i crabbed the dog ? Your saying it killed all its hares after the snow so must have been easy?????So ask you again you have dog that could kill the hares that dog has????? Yes

On many occasions I.v caught 20 plus with 1 Whippet and on a couple of nights more than 50 with 2 .In this area a 20 plus night with any dog is a good night. Many lads I know in this area think ten is a good night they are few and far between. In cover crops like sprouts bigger dogs struggle to get on terms with them .I know differant dogs suite differant ground but a whippet deffinitely has a lot to offer when rabbits are your target.A Whippet that I lost just after xmas was without doubt one of the best dogs I ever owned she put many saluki x from good lines to shame on big land and caulfield

Totally agree with you mate, although you do have to be careful which lines you get. For example,I wouldn't work a non ped racing whippet as they are far too fast and brittle they weigh approx 20% less than the same sized kc whippet. Afterall a average paced dog with a little between the ears will always catch more than a pocket rocket thats as thick as they come. Vixen my ped whippet rarely gets into top gear when out lamping she uses her head only running as fast as she needs to to keep up with the rabbits timing her strike and she rarely has to strike twice. have you got any pups av
