  1. agree! plus they're genuine dog men and are not out there to promote themselves to make £££ from puppy sales like some better known whippet owners
  2. She's looking well Gaz. She's made a nice size and looks like she will be a strong bitch.
  3. Sounds like the perfect trip out for the pup gaz with a few good photos to go with it.
  4. Don't know if the bitch but it's sad when people push the size up like that and Forge the kc papers. Imo people should protect the breed. If they want to increase the size good luck to them but sell them as Longdogs not whippets but then again it's all about the ££££££ with some whippet owners.
  5. Make sure it males the grade over a few seasons
  6. There's got to be greyhound back in the breeding in lines of whippet throwing 24" dogs surely.
  7. You not a fan then hm lol
  8. Depends what your after the dog for imo like everything. If you want a working dog get one off parents who are regularly working of you want one to show get one from dogs that win shows etc etc. Ask to see the dogs out working also and get impartial opinions rather than from mates of the breeder.
  9. Sire was a 20" whippet. Dam was 26" beddy/grey/collie/dhd/whippet. No wheaten in there bunnys. A lad on here owns the grand sire and dam. No wheaten in there to my knowledge. Cheers anyway mate

  11. I have one of these on either side. One for the lurcher and one for the whippets who u have in a coupling. Still have full control over the bike and the spring takes any pulling from the dogs. I would highly recommend you lads using one of your running the dogs next to the bike.
  12. Hi all Just wondering if any lads on here have any pups from Glen (midlands) born December 2013 from his rough coated lurcher bitch? Just interested to see how the litter turned out. Cheers Alex
  13. Nice photos TT. Is the tree climbing part of their fitness regime?!
  14. Brilliant iww. I've never bolted a stoat, I've had the whippets flush a couple but never caught one unfortunately. If I ever did if be getting it stuffed. Last season I saw a stoat chase a pheasant out of a wood and up the side of a field. My mate who had his camera just stood there open mouthed!
  15. I wouldn't get too caught up in the whole SS thing. A lot (not all) of the SS stuff tend to be on the bigger heavier side. Personally If I wanted something on the bigger and heavier side I would (and did) get a lurcher. I like my whippets to look and therefore run like a whippet should. There are plenty of good whippets out there who are being worked hard. My advise would be to take your time, pick a pup from working parents and look at feet, temperament, teeth, coat etc before colour. Good luck in finding a pup you will have fun with a whippet that's a given.
  16. Was rodgers bitch the dam to your young dog morgan alex i had a look at her quite a few years ago when he gifted me a ferret a nice bloke. Yes darbo. Spot on! Really nice honest bloke is roger. The whole litter has done well by all accounts.
  17. Not slating anybody here. It's good to have variations within the breed. Horses for courses and all that. I didn't even think mb was still involved with whippets tbh. Black dog is half mb breeding, he has unbelievable drive and is a strong-ish type whippet. White one from some of the old coursing lines. Nice bit of variation.
