  1. Do you think alex excessive litters of whippets are being bred these days with money the main motivation. atb. Yes and to make a name i.e some people want to own the next Sooty Sam and dominate the stud market. I don't want to deviate from the thread here just an observation. It's great to see so many nice whippets on one thread. There is enough variety and quality in the breed for it to have a bright future. Variety being the key word, I think we are coming out of the era where the majority of the general public's opinion was that the only type of line worth breeding from was mb/ Sooty S
  2. Oh there are some very nice, hard working whippets out there Dean. They just don't get shoved in your face and have excessive litters bred from the bitches like some lines that you'll more commonly see or hear of. Atb Alex

  7. One eyed Dex who also he had a front toe removed last season. He is still as committed as ever and catches his share of the purse through the season.
  8. Now that is art! Jaw dropping brilliance.
  9. Saying that I have a lurcher here that is half whippet and he has made a nice stamp of a dog but as he was growing it did cross my mind that he could turn out to look like Dog from the hills have eyes. Hope you get what you want whatever you decide
  10. It would have to be a tried and tested whippet that is well bred would be my choice I'm. Whilst there are the whippet dogs out there ticking all the boxes I personally wouldnt bother risking putting a lurcher over her and having wastage from the litter. Jmo
  11. Gutted for you gafer I hope he comes good for you,
  12. my pup, 13 months old think he is nephew to KPS's bitch
  13. Like I said martin his lite brother here is still very immature and I have only been giving him a few short lamping and ferreting trips I am just going to give my pup a tester season and start him properly next year. You won't do any harm holding him back they seem to be bright and keen enough so should pick the game up quickly when they get going properly. Your always welcome to make to long trip up here for a night out lamping if you like
  14. How has this only got 762 signatures?!
