  2. sawdust is one of the biggest causes of respritory problems in small animals mate,get him onto some shavings or paper fibre

  4. ok ive just seperated my jill and although she is in top nick im wondering if theres anything that you personally like to give them or do to keep them in optimum nutrition running upto her giving birth?
  5. seperated my hob and jill today.....to say he looked displeased was a bloody understatement he had his sweet now its time for the sour LOL........ hopefully some nice kits to come by the end of may too just gota coax the misses to let me give them ALL away to good homes...as i know she is going to want to keep some
  6. how long would you usually leave the hob in with the jill after she is fully in season? my jill is pretty much in full season now and the male is doing his stuff but when would you recommend i seperate him?
  7. ive seen a few people using hay etc but ive recently purchased some paper bedding, actually its shreds of tea bag material, will this be ok for my jill when she has her kits? i know people who have bred rabbits and guinea pigs etc but just want to double check with you guys to get your recommendations :thumbs-up:
  8. mine is fully in season now, got my pole hob in with her at the moment so fingers crossed.
  9. where are you ratting mate? field/lake/rubbish landfill ? let us know and we will point you in the right direction, but as a rule you will see the runs and holes along fences/boudaries etc :thumbs-up:
  10. work with it mate, and if and when it pulls itself together you may just have a mighty fine ferret.mine bit like mad until i picked her up around the neck and supporting her underneath with the other hand,move your finger and thumb gently up there neck until near there head and they cannot get you then calm them down by stroking them and they soon tame down you will see :thumbs-up:

  13. just checked my jill and she has started to swell again maybe because i have the hob in there?
  14. has anyone had there jills start to come into season and then come out again ie swell up slightly then go straight back down the following day? also is there any specific reason for this?
  15. keep to the pests on the list.....and make sure you are capable of hitting the vital area....ie head at the distance your shooting at....

Hw 97k in .177 with professionally fitted Uncle Mikes studs/swivels set.The whole outfit is MINT ....as new as it would come from the factory ...i bought this and had the intention of having it V-mached,mounted a scope on and put around half a tin of pellets through it but a hw77 venom came up instead anyone that knows me will vouch for my rifles and how they are kept...so grab yourself a beautiful rifle that shoots superb £220 posted by insured delivery or £200 collected ON HOLD

  19. cheers everyone, Frank he has come from working stock as did the jill, but have been told as she is younger she doesnt work as well as him but im still yet to find that out..... they were both worked before i acquired them he is one of 3 brothers...my friend has the other 2

This is my hob who is soon to be mating with my jill, hope he does himself proud and produces some nice offspring, just got him his very own living quarters for when he needs to be seperated (not that he knows yet) but what do you reckon? will he produce some nice kits...his temprement is outstanding and couldnt ask for a more caring ferret i never thought id get one as nice as him.....better company than most people
  21. very very accurate guns.... same action as the hw95 but as said above with a shroud over the barrel.The rifle is slightly front havy but is a tremendous rifle for all round shooting.
  22. you will find that lighter springers are more hold sensitive than a heavier one....heavier the springer the more recoil is absorbed pretty much a heavier springer with a beech stock rather than a walnut stock would be great....fit a sling to a 97k and dont worry about the weight....i shoot one in hft comps and for hunting..carrying it hours on end and there no trouble,but if you buy a lighter springer get alot of practice in to get the hold right as i mentioned they take a bit more getting used to
