Air Arms Tx200hc .22 tuned with V-mach internals. Extremely consistant and a dream to shoot with these internals! Tuned trigger so lovely and smooth to shoot. Its favourite pellets are Falcon Accuracy and the trajectory on these is superb just tips better than a .20 heavy pellet Superb bit of kit including gun Richter optik scope mildot ret, case, pellets, sling, mounts. Couple of minor marks on stock and a tiny mark below the scope rail. £300 plus post at buyers risk.

It will vary on the actual hob, i have had three hobs together with only minimal squabbling and also two hobs that are the most placid little sods ever. But the hob i use most for ferreting can not be housed with any other ferret at all or he will not leave them alone! Brilliant to handle and whilst out hunting he will leave a hole and run back to me and follow me around but the bugger can not get on with any other ferret. Its trial and error :-)

Out up the fields again this morning with the big hob and the longnet for an hour and a half, netted up a warren on a tree line with some cover in between. He managed to bolt 3 before we left ;-)

After getting a little bored today on my day off I decided to go to my local permission, being a five minute walk away I grabbed the quickset longnet a few purse nets and my big hob. Set off to a large mound and netted up all around it and threw down a few 4 foot purse nets and down went the hob. Wasnt long before the first couple bolted and into the purse nets, followed by another into the longnet. Not much else for around 15 minutes until this almighty squeel came from one of the holes with the purse nets covering it! All of a sudden out shot a stoat that ran down the mound stopped looked an

We used this method all through the summer and it works well, but make it alot easier and do it whilst there still warm. We use it whilst ferreting, dispatch them and gut them this way and its a peice of p!ss!

I used a 1 inch make shift board mate, net done its job the other evening and had two rats so well chuffed ;-)

Got a fair few holes apeared under the decking at home and decided to knock up a rat purse net, came out brilliant but would like to know peoples opinions on how many meshes etc the prefer. The one I made today was 5,6,7,8,9 then 3 rows of 10 then 9,8,7,6,5. Came out nice and had to improvise on the mesh board and had no small needle so cut two long lengths of spun poly and threaded it by hand every mesh. Spot on net too :-) . Any patterns would be appreciated greatly ;-)

Can anyone tell me if they have a guide for rat purse nets ie size of mesh board and how many meshes just want to knock a couple up! Many Thanks

Yukon NVMT-2 3x42 Monocular with built in ir and extra add on Yukon ir illuminator. This is as new MINT and the picture at night is amazing. You can buy an add on to attach it to your day lamp but ive never gone down this route. A cracking bit of kit £160

Mine have a contant bowl of dry food ( chudleys ) and have fresh meat every night just take out whats left in the morning during the warmer months. I remove the guts and make sure the liver/kidneys/heart is sound and in it goes with feather and fur on. Keep fresh water and you wont go wrong. Also once a week they get scrambled egg with cod liver oil on keeps there coats good! Some will disagree but i have always kept good healthy ferrets with nice coats so il stick by it

After pondering on the thought of making my own for a while and kept putting it off as you do I read this thread and got abit inspired and I thought id give it a go! Ordered a kit from Agouti in the week and made my first net the other night! So fella I have your little one to blame for sitting here at night with a beer knitting my nets lol! Shes doing realy well mate well done!

Personaly I use spun poly. Have a load of 3'6" probably about 60 and also about 40 4' nets. I use these everywhere and they dont let me down at all, the best ones being the ones with heavy rings. Overall a 4 footer with a nice heavy ring and good quality line wont let you down mate but you set the net right and it goes a long way

After just acquiring some new permission abd a cracking bit of land it is too. We planned on taking the ferrets out so off we went and had a looksie around and settled on a warren on a tree line. After netting up and having a quick cuppa we put down 4 jills..... All of a sudden all hell broke loose! We had 3 bolt all in one go with 3 jills right up there harris's ! Back down they went and it all went quiet until all of a sudden another load bolted... Couldnt of asked for a better start! Some of the nets were a nightmare to set but it paid off.
