Avitec is a coccidiostat it is in the feed as a mild preventative for cocci though I use it in my pheasant feed I somewhat doubt its worth in partridge feed. pheasants seem to have a much higher tolerance to a coccidiosis burden than partridge and as such I routinely treat partridge with either baycox or amprolium instead. If you are buying poults it is a good idea to find out what feed company the game farm use and then get some of the same ration they are being fed, continuity of feed is often overlooked but it definitely helps prevent stress and stops them scouring.

I have Avitec in all my feed till I get to grower.The first 2 weeks worth of feed my birds have after arrival also have Aurofac (chlorotetracyclene)added further to that I have sufficient feed with flubenvet ordered to treat the birds twice I like to end their pellet with a course of flubenvet as it is easier to worm them like that before I start on wheat.

Yep agree....unfortunately its the nature of this country to build our sports stars and celebrities up and up and up until they reach the top......then desperately try to drag them back down with whatever mistakes they make or scandal they can find. I cant stand the yanks but give them their due when a sports star hits the top over there,he stays at the top his whole life,he is not dragged down for any tiny mistake he ever makes in life. fair point but I would have still interviewed him if the man thought he was sober enough to negotiate moats surrender then I should think that a few simple questions would be ok.It is a shame gazza is a piss head but he has done it to himself and if he puts himself in the spotlight when he is incapable of presenting a sane and sober appearance then more fool him.

Are we ment to feel sorry for him because he is an alcoholic like? Not me! If his wife gets a FAC they enter all of your guns on her certificate thus meaning she can have access to the cabinet or at least that is how my wifes certificate works and has done so for 13 years the only condition is that she can't use them unless supervised by me it makes life so much easier cause I don't need to worry where I hide the keys.Every time my wife has renewed her certificate the FEO has made HER show him our security arrangements and inspected our firearms without me being in attendance.

If she is going to the trouble of getting a SGS then for the extra tenner it is as well to get her a FAC at the same time I got the misses both, on her FAC it is conditioned so she can only use my rifles when I accompany her but it means she can bring me a gun if I need one at work or she can buy my ammunition if I don't have time to go to the gunshop . Another reason for getting her a FAC is that it means I can get extra rifles by saying that they are for her to use

Hand feeding V Hoppers

I use both methods it is not as simple as to which is the most effective some drives lend themselves to hoppers where as some are better handfed, trial and error is the only way to find the best option. Of the 2 I do prefer hand feeding though. -
