  1. Hey,

I'm interested in your shotguns, what price are you looking for?

I have a hw80 in good condition to swap.

    Thank you,

    Lee

  2. Does it hiss at you before it bites, does it make you bleed loads or is it just biting and letting go? Ferret kits usualy bite and bite and bite a bit like little puppies bit and bite and bite. Usually when a ferret bites properly you won't pick it up a secong time. Keep playing with it. Lee
  3. I've maybe shot five hares in the last few years, my brother occasionally enjoys one for the pot. It's the only time I do shoot them when someone wants one to eat. Otherwise I could shoot one everytime I go out but I like to see them.
  4. Hey Steve, In my opinion if he's a learner forget the red tail, there's is a chance he'll get hurt. Also I wouldn't buy anyones hawk that hasn't made the hunting grade, chances are the bird is crap because the trainer was crap. I was teaching a man up in Northallerton to fly so he bought a young male harris hawk (best bird to start with in my opinion). All was going well the bird was great but then he decided that he wanted to fly two harris hawks together so he bought a 3 year old female harris from out of the cage and avary. Apparently this bird was the business, it was fully trained, took
  5. Some people really are brain dead.... play the clown with leathal weapons and then are surprised when a serious incident occurs. Flippin knuckleheads.
  6. Hey, Sorry to hear about the sale. Do you have any pictures, in particularly interested in the .22lr. Thank you, Lee
  7. Well I voted shotgun because I use that more often, but I love sitting down th epen and splatting rats with the air rifle and there's nothing like shooting a fox at 150 metres under the lamp. I really enjoy both styles, just wish I could generate a steady income at it.
  8. Hi all, I was thinking, do I need a game license to sell game such as rabbits, woodpigeons, deer, ducks to a game dealer. What prices should I expect and how do I find someone to buy the game? Thank you, Lee
  9. Hey Catcher 1 where about in the country are you. i live in Stamford and travel to Castle donnington regularly during the evening. I have noticed exactly the same problem you were saying loads of foxes in town centres going for a take-away probably. The other week I was drivin through Melton Mowbray town centre and literally slammed by brakes on to stop from hitting a fox and wrecking my car. I've even sat there at night and squeeled them over to about 15ft, close enough to nut them neatly with a .410. Lee
  10. The chickens I would recommend for a back garden or built up area is Brahma or orpingtons. They are very quiet and very tame, great for children to pick up and play with. They lay about 200 eggs per year, however, the best layer for me would be the light sussex and black rock though they are quite active chickens that require a bt of room. All the best, Lee
  11. Welcome to the sight mate, I enjoy it. All the best, Lee
  12. I have used semi's and found that they are just as comfortable as any shotgun that fits well, however I shoot with a U/O 12g and the reason is that a double barrel O/U or SbS is far quicker and easier to clean and less likely to jam or miss fire. I do alot of wildfowling which sometimes requires getting low in the marsh and this can be a messy business. However for general rough shooting and game they'll be as good as any other.
  13. I would look into changing the moderator before cutting the barrel down on any rifle. Is there not a another style mod that would fit your Tikka? Like the Wildcat Predator 8 which is an over-the-barrel design. Blessings, Lee
  14. A lovely gun, gutted that I don't have the money, I'm about £100 short. It's definately a cracker for someone. All the best, Lee
  15. Me and my old man, January 2009, we have a brace of woodcock shot by myself and 3 squirrels that we got. This was the first time I had shot woodcock, the first lifted and I killed it with the first shot walked maybe 40 more feet and the second sprung which I shot with obne shot. If only they had sprung together I could have had my first woodcock and a honourable right and left. What a great day, a hip flask of sloe gin, a couple of twelve bores some woodcock flights and finished on the wetland for the ducks.
  16. Thank you for all the replies, I was going to pop over to Simsons of Shepshed and have a look at how much of a bad copy they are but I don't think I'll bother based on all the consistant opinion of this rifle. Thank you, Lee
  17. if its a pest, shoot it!

  18. Hey Zook, Thanks for the reply, I saw that Simsons them on there website and tried to google reviews about the rifle but hadn't found much. That link you gave was great thank you. Lee
  19. Does anyone know anything about the Puma JW15E rifle .22 bolt action? There are a few gun dealers with several of these in stock, brand new for £195. Whats the rifling like, is it built to last? What sort of grouping do you get and at what range? What ammuntion brand do they shoot best with? looking forward to learning a bit more about them. Thank you, Lee Stockburn
  20. I have for sale a Wierach HW 90 fitted the Theoben gas ram, HW silencer and tasco scopes, 2.5-9 x 40 scopes, it is in excellent condition and fires at 12ft-lbs. Kills rabbits and wood pigeons easily at 35 metres. My reason for sale is because I want a .22lr as I have a firearms certificate now. The rifle is located in Stamford Lincolnshire, I can email pictures of the rifle to people who are interested, I'm struggling to upload the pictures onto this site. The price of the rifle is £250 ono, I will also consider a swap for a .22lr. I can deliver to anywhere on route to Bawtry, Retfo
