  1. Had a cocker bitch that annoyingly, if thats a word ,squeaked loudly when pushing rabbitrs through cover. Quiet on everything else. Usefull when out with my lurchers.

  3. I agree with Mackem love him or hate him Plummer produced some very readable books. First lurcher book i ever read was The Complete Lurcher the original copy. I also had it from a very good friend of his the he wrote under the name Michael Shaw. Another very good read, but not cheap if you can get your hands on it is Coursing the pursuit of game with sighthounds .

  6. Shredded paper , change it weekly in winter and ten days roughly in summer. Get it from work so no cost.Doesnt come out of kennels much as in deep beds.
  7. Like the other replies i would concentrate on little and often. 10 to 20 mins if pos onto a park or footy field. Remember pups still a baby and it needs as much rest as play, if not more .Wouldnt worry 2 much about road wk, just enjoy it, and dont do 2 much.

  9. Got a ped. whippet dog about 19.5 inches tall. Loads of prey drive, only lightly lamped so far .Doesnt seam to have any problems with feet or stamina .When exercised with my lurchers still running about and chasing after couple of hours. Hes out of a Banatay dog im pleased with him so far.

  12. i feed all my dogs, lurchers and a cocker raw meat eg tripe, rabbit or minced chicken weith a good complete feed. At the moment i am feeding chudleys working crunch, but have used beta in the past.
  13. Banatay is a good coursing line if you can get your hands on one. Alot of the better stuff goes back to laguna lines Also if you get a pedigree name its worth going on a site called whippet archives. Just type in the name and it brings up the pedigrees, can be interesting if looking into buying a whippet.

  15. As long as it isnt affecting the dogs eating id think it should be ok You say youve fed bones and chews and the dogs managed so dosnt seam to be a problem, just keep checking its mouth .
  16. i knew doxhope well a few years ago. even went up to scotland couple times to watch deerhound coursing club. dont think he has any dogs in now, but he pos know where 2 find one. Also david platts breeds them supposidly throws some very big dogs, have seen 1 or 2 all 28 inches plus on the first cross. good luck finding one.
  17. ive got a cocker and two lurchers, feed tripe to meal about half and half for two days then one day just meal. also feed rabbits in winter. know of friend who feeds about half and half most days. a good book to read on raw feeding is THE BARF DIET by Billinghurst, i think thats the auther. a bit heavy in places but some useful info on raw meat feeding.
