    before you do eney thing mate you need to get the basics in ie sit stay recall heal stop to whisel sounds like his recall is not that good so when you want him in pip then say in put your hand out and bring it down to your side at the same time as you say in in time he will no in means in i never use the cord up to you i have trained many cockers and found this works ihave a cocker bitch 8 months in training now bringing dummy s in from 100 yard memory's i would work on recall first then dummeys later good luck

    yeh had some does in young but not seen eney nipers on my grass fields going to drop cages over next few days close to holes see if i can pick afew up

    give him plentey of 1/1 had a nervey pup jumpt at owt just did loads of lead work up and down busy roads let him see as much as poss if he jumps and pulls sit him give him a fuss and walk on it tuck months but now i have a cracking shooting dog full of life so yes it will train but may take a bit longer

    well after a good training run with a young cocker put him back to cover out he came shakeing is head like mad you no the crack grass seed in ear after last time had is ears plucked and this dos help but this time it proper got stuck so off to the vet £21.00 a time any you lads get this problem i no barleys a night mare at is time off year so keep them out vet reckons she as had nowt but cockers & springers all week with same thing

    well most gun dogs will have champs in mine has but a field trial dog can come out ov eney litter id say as long as it is steady to game and stops when its asked i think its down to good training and strong bond to its hangler two working as one iv seen dogs work well that dont even have a pedigree ie sprockers so buy whot you whont and train it well

    ok if shes stoping sort dont walk to her go back 4 5 steps then call her in no joy 4 5 agen still no good walk away the the odds are she will folow and when your training sit her out ten yards re call let her sit in front ov you walk back 3 yards call her in all way and sit had same thing happend with mine but ok with this it just takes time sounds like abit giddey

    i have cage traps set on a grass field yet the field is over run with big rabbits but iam cathing all small ones not aproblem as i can sell them but whats keeping the big ones out in the past they have been cathing full grown ones eney tips as they all go for gun dog training ie rabbit pens

    all woods over 100 years and some less are sssi most are shot in moors have same thing but shot over all it is to save rare plants grass and stop felling trees at will if your ferreting no probblem 2 years ago we planted a hedge on sssi rabbits eaten it off n england told us to get rid of rabbits as they most be controld by law

    yes you can ferret and shoot on sssi i work on sssi sites natural england over see them rare plants and such if land owner as given go ahead your ok

    well a bloke sells at 3 pound and gets slagd off tesco sell 2 chickens fore a£5 are they all fu.ckt then they dont no your set up or nowt if you can sell at £3 fu.kem let them pay £4.50 ore cant they sell at that price

    From what you've said, it seems the Sire is merely badly trained, not badly bred. If the breeding is there on both sides and you are confident with your training abilities, i'd take a pup. no problem if you can train the pup well rule 1 sound basic training makes even better gundogs sounds like the stud dog as not had eney

    look at it this way the its a shame when foke dont under stand the ways of country side the way it works and folk who live in it yet we welcome folk with open arms for what to be slaged off for things we done for years like my grandad said in the war years they went mad for game and rabbits and we gave how meney wood give now not me for shore if they wont prepack up to them if we wont to ferret and shoot up to us
